    This app is super helpful for letting you see trends in your mood. It’s great for helping you identify factors that typically contribute to poor moods as well as things that generally boost your mood. It’s also very helpful for people like me who sometimes have difficulty understanding my own feelings. It’s a simple design but it really is very comforting to have this app in my phone. 100% worth all 500 pennies

    I hope to one day look back and appreciate my growth in looking at the history of what is essentially emotional journal entries. Very valuable app indeed. Helps you understand yourself, and that’s the first step to being better. There’s one improvement and it would be that the mood pie instead averages your mood notes on a per day basis and then shows day by day average distributions rather than per mood note. For example say I make 20 happy mood notes in a day, and one hyper depressed mood note the next. I’m now apparently very happy on average. However the reality is I had a good day and a bad day. Only suggestion, otherwise pretty great. I actually got this app literally a day before a massive romantic failure on my part and in retrospect this app helped me understand my condition and looking back I’ve gathered valuable info on the grieving process at a personal level. Really just a great app.

    I was searching for an app that could track my moods over time so that I can do the following: 1) have more awareness 2) have more data for my doctor, 3) could easily keep track without losing where I had written something down. The creators have made this very user friendly. Pros: -user friendly interface -ability to record more than just one mood entry per day -ability to add both positive and negative adjectives to coincide with selected mood -color coding makes it easy to interpret data at a glance - definitions for thinking traps and suggestions for how to change your way of thinking -one time purchase, not a subscription -simple terminology for increased accessibility to a larger population, not just medical/psychological field Cons: -No calendar at a glance to click and add a date. -No way to "try out" if this is the app you'd like to use prior to purchase Suggestions: -Please add a monthly calendar at a glance where we can tap on a date as another option to add a mood entry -Please allow for a trial period for both Moodkit and Moodnotes. I was trying to research a comparison between the two to see which would be more useful to me. While I like Moodkit, I found it harder to navigate. I ended up purchasing both. I bought Moodkit first, but probably would have purchased only this one had I been able to test them out first. I downloaded 3 other apps prior to this one, including Moodkit, which is also made by this company, but found this one to be the most helpful by far. Thank you for creating this app and sharing it with us, particularly for people who need to track patterns in his or her mood for data. I really like this app and would recommend it to others.

  • Easy to Use and Very Helpful!

    I almost never rate AND leave a review, but this app has been incredibly helpful! The last couple of months I’ve been struggling with new mental health issues and finally decided to change my medications. Having done so my doctor and partner recommended that I should write about how my new medications are affecting me, my moods, behaviors etc... I’m really not one who likes to journal etc... so I found this app after a quick google search. It can be very difficult for me to stick to routine especially if it’s something I don’t like doing and takes too long. This app is fantastic in that if I don’t want to/feel like I don’t have time I can register my mood quickly and easily via the little mood face, but I want to contribute you more I can add notes and also, specific feelings contributing to my overall mood. I think it’s completely worth the money. I look forward to seeing my insights a data after I’ve used it for a couple of months!

    BUT it leaves me wishing i knew the difference between “tired” “exhausted” and “lethargic” when picking moods. A little more guidance and a little less scrolling through the emotional spectrum would be wonderful.

    Moodnotes gives me a structure to review my emotional life on a daily basis and reframe my interpretations of my feelings towards a more positive outlook. I don’t know if it will help rewire my thinking but so far it’s helped me be consistent, which is an important element for change.
