  • Bad service

    By angryoldlady
I was kicked out because their algorithm flagged me. I pay for unlimited books. I work 50+ hours a week. I listen 50+ hours a week. They kicked me out for listening too much. Why would you offer unlimited listening if ur not going to honor it?? I’m being accused of doing something wrong. I’m old how am I selling ur books?? Very unhappy customer!! I’m just getting my $ worth!!
  • CRAP!!!

    By AKFarnsy
I decided to switch from Audible to Playster for a couple of different audiobook series. I paid the higher price because they are “premium books.” I would get a couple of books into the series then the rest of the series would be non existent in their library even though I checked to make sure they had all of the books before I started. I contacted support and the said that my geographical area is in a beta phase of business and that effects their library. I asked them if they had an ETA on when it would be fixed because every book I searched for was no longer there and I’m not paying $40 for nothing. They told me there is no timeframe on when it will be done. So I’m going back to Audible
  • Don’t do it

Problem after problem. Customer service is non existent. Beware their fair play algorithm whatever the hell that is. Do your self a favor and skip this app
  • Can’t do anything

    By actripp
As soon as I opened the app and searched for audiobooks to download, it kept telling me that there was a connection error. I couldn’t examine or download any books. I even tried paying for a month of the service to se if it would work and the app kept crashing as soon as I tried to open it. I know Audible is expensive, but at least it’s dependable.
  • Getting better and better

    By monificentone
It has been a journey with playster. Often a painful one. However, and thankfully they have finally gotten it right. I read or listen to at least two books a week and for me this service is s steal. Improvements in the app has made playster my go to for books. I would suggest you give it try you won’t be sorry!!!
  • You do not get free unlimited during your “trial”

    By mistylw
I signed up willing and eager to fine a place I could listen to as many books as I would like every month. When I finally found one that wasn’t gold started for an additional premium charge I started listening. Got to chapter 3 then was given the choice to skip ahead of my free trial service and pay in order to finish the book. So really what they offer is for you to be able to search and see if they have books you may want to read. Very very misleading. Misty
  • Worst app ever!!!

    By C@B.
I signed up online for the 30 day free trial. When I tried to upgrade on the app to get the “better audio books” it ended my 30 day free trial and charged me $19.95 and told me it would upgrade me in a month to the $38.99 charge. Meanwhile I have the same books as before only it ends all of the other items from the trial and won’t upgrade! Customer service is also zero help.
  • Update: Love Playster - app still needs improvement

    By lizzysharp
I had previously reviewed that I love Playster but HATE the app... it’s improving, but still has a way to go! I wish my current audiobook would consistently show when I open the app. Sometimes it is there, other times I have to search for the book all over again. Very annoying. I know they are trying to entice us with their music, movies, tv show options, but I have no interest. I wish I could shut those off and just have audiobooks show. Not a user-friendly app, but at least it is functioning instead of crashing now.
  • Unlimited Audiobook Scam

    By Jkesten
I signed up for the unlimited audiobooks at $19.49, supposedly a good deal considering a major competitor allows only one audiobook per month for $15. However, it turns out that 95 percent of their audiobooks fall into their “premium” audiobook category. If a book is part of a series, you can only access the first one unless you get the premium subscription, which is $38.99. Forget about getting any new or current bestsellers with a basic membership. So if you want very limited selection, never want to start a series, and or aren’t interested in new releases, then this is the deal for you. As for me, I’m going back to the competition which is up front about what you can get. Between that and what’s available at the public library, the selection is better than the basic membership here.
  • If is sounds too good to be true it likely is.

The app worked great through the trial period but as soon as I paid it started having trouble. It would constantly disconnect and make me sign in over and over. It would fail to download audiobooks or even open them when on I tried listening over wi-fi. I deleted books and the app many times redownloading trying to fix the problems and it never worked. The support desk was the worst I have ever contacted.
