Let me start by saying that I am a DIE HARD Ironhide fan. Kingdom Rush is one of my favorite franchises of ALL TIME, and I've played those games endlessly. I have been waiting for this with great excitement. I NEVER hesitate to purchase their games, always buying them IMMEDIATELY. The controls are simple and intuitive, and perfectly suited to the touchscreen of phones and tablets. It took me some time to discover the means to select an entire group of your units, as it was not in the tutorial (EDIT NOTE: This has changed; I recently did a re-play of the entire game and the tutorial DID tell me how to select groups. I am guessing they added it in?): you have to double-tap quickly and it will select all your units in a circle that flashes for a second. This is very helpful, but was not covered in the tutorial. Also, some more notes on base defense would have been nice. It took some trial and error before I found out how to build multiple turrets and put up shields, etc. The game has great art, sound, and polish, as all Ironhide games do. This is by far the best RTS game I've played on a tablet or phone. I still can’t help but wonder if I would have been much happier with a tower defense game set in this new universe they've created. Just the thought makes me excited!! Also, I would like to see more content. Many of the levels are really short and easily defeated, even on “impossible”. Devs, if you’re reading this: You guys are AMAZING and THANK YOU for all that you do. This is truly a gem of a game. It’s really grown on me tremendously. I’d love to see you enable pvp or even better: co-op pve!
  • Like old Starcraft custom maps

Ironhide does it again, this is like some sweet nostalgic Starcraft custom map game. User created content would be sweet. But overall fun, feel like melee characters are at disadvantage
  • Hurry up with the new expansion!!!

The Graphics are as good as YouTube says and the gameplay is pretty cool. I still think the extra characters are grossly overpriced as they are in the other games by this company. I feel that not only would they sell more micro transactions but more people would be willing to purchase and download this game if they lowered prices across the board. Additional content needs to be more affordable, characters should cost maybe $1.00. Maybe $2.00 at most. The in game currency would also sell more if it was appropriately priced. I feel that for example the $100.00 great bundles should be at most $10-15. Give them so much that they have no choice but to get more right? And for those who are money conscious and penny pinching, they will be more likely to get it at least once because it’s worth it. Despite that I would say even if you buy at current pricing it’s more worth your money than something like Clash. At least your money can entertain you for a very long time. Okay so review time though, honestly a great game so far. I am only maybe 6 missions in but I can see that this game will be offering at least as much content as their Kingdom games. I have played and beat all but Origins and I would also highly recommend those games. I love the fact that not only do they offer a challenge and entertainment but they are playable offline and beautiful. They have hidden content “Easter eggs” and achievements for diehards as well. Recommended but another game full of micro transactions that are overpriced.
  • Best strategy I’ve played yet!

    By dickweed-02
I like to play strategy games on my phone and I don’t find many great ones. This one can keep you entertained for hours on end if you wanted, easy to switch strategy in a fight, challenging levels, a smooth upgrade system that resets at will, halo wars style gameplay with the troop and bases and how you move them. Only two planets so far and it took me a good week to finish the campaign. In the end it has some replay ability but I wish there was some sort of endless mode. Can’t wait to see what the next planet has to throw at me! Iron hide has yet to disappoint.
  • More features than past Ironhide games

I’m a big fan of this publisher. This game is way more in-depth than previous games. It takes a little getting used to at first, but adds more gameplay elements over previous titles.

Lots of fun and the touch controls are really well thought out
  • Not enough content

Five dollar games should not make you wait months for an expansion. This game is fun but i best it months ago and there has been more obvious work on Way they are trying to make money in-game than actual new worlds and levels. When I see the new world released, that has been “coming soon” for six months+, I’ll switch to five stars.
