I set my alarm at 6 am, I am an athlete and I need to get woken up for events, or training. I also need accurate sleep analysis to see how well I am recovering. Sometimes I will go on my phone in the middle of the night and the app says that I was “sleeping”. When I set the alarm for 6 AM, sometimes it wont go off at all. If it does go off it is extremely glitchy and will go off for just one second then stop. Also when i try to stop the app, it will just lag and wont move, so I have to close completely out of the app and try again. Disappointing this app has really gone down hill in just the year that I have been using it.

I thought the point of leaving my phone close by was so the app could detect my movements and determine whether or not I was awake? I woke up at 3am last night. Even picked my phone up to see what time it was. The app tells me I was in a deep sleep 10mins after setting the alarm till my alarm went off. This app is not working as advertised.
  • Would be zero stars if possible.

This was a nice useful app before they got bought or changed their setup either make me buy the app or not but I’m not paying a subscription for an alarm clock and since it changed you can no longer see any data other than the previous nights sleep pathetic cash grab and ruined a pretty nice app. Data stealing hacks.

I’ve had this app for about 2 years and they just recently updated it to Sleepzy. I forget what the name of it was before. But after they “upgraded” there have been MANY MANY times where the alarm doesn’t go off!! I have been late to work and written up for being late at least 6 times. I’m deleting it and going with a different app. Also, idk if the cause of this is because when I wake up in the middle of the night I check my phone for the time and then I’ll get on FB for a minute and whatever. I’ll put my phone down and then boom, I’m waking up an hour later than when the alarm is scheduled to go off. Screw this app. I’m so unhappy with it

I really like this app and it is very useful in getting up on school days and holidays. Some people complain about non-stop ads and other stuff. But you have really improved this app and all my friends and I use this in our dorms. This has really helped on our studies and sleep schedules. This is a really good and useful app for school students and on holidays

I love the idea behind this app. I enjoy the graphs, the functionality and adaptability. It has cool features, but in my first week of trying it, it played an ad while I was sleeping and missed it also missed an alarm. Other reviewers have reported this problem and it is drastically serious. I have no problems with it otherwise, but my regular alarm has never failed me. I’m uninstalling this app.

Of all the various sleep apps out there, this is the app that I use as a secondary record of my nights. Although it gets some things wrong in terms of knowing when I’m in deep sleep (it often thinks I am when I’m not) or even actually asleep at all (it often thinks I’m asleep when I’m just very relaxed in bed and on my way to sleep), I’m using it because it gets things right more often than any of the other highly-rated sleep apps out there. How do I know? For a couple of years I’ve I’ve been using an Ōura Ring activity/sleep/readiness tracker ring and its excellent dedicated app. That smart-ring/app duo has been tested against sleep-lab equipment measurements and, although not quite as precise as being hooked up to all those sensors, it is very, very accurate in comparison, nonetheless. Sleepzy comes in a distant second in comparison to the ring, in my experience, and I would be quite surprised if it could go head to head against sleep-lab equipment and not be shown to get things just too wrong to be useful for anything but filling a need to know, generally, if ones sleep was poor, adequate, or good. And that might be great for a good percentage of people who don’t want to wear a (very) smart ring for whatever reason. So, for them, I’d say try this app out against other highly rated sleep apps and you might just find it superior to the rest, and more than adequate for your needs. And, even the most expensive “premium” yearly in-app upgrade costs only around 7-13% of the cost of the Ōura Ring, which was reviewed, against all fitness trackers, as the “one ring to rule them all”.
  • The alarm did not wake me up!

I feel so stupid. First I should not have used a new alarm knowing I have an appointment the next day. I set the alarm to ring between 10:30 and 11am. I remember waking up at about 8am to use the bathroom. Next thing I know I wake up by myself at 12:21pm (appointment was at 12). I look at the app refusing to believe I did not hear my alarm because I’m a light sleeper. This alarm apparently thinks I was asleep for just about 2 hours. I slept really late at about 4:30 and it says I woke up at about 6:30 so it decided I was up and didn’t need to be woken up. So the issue wasn’t me not hearing, it was the fact that the alarm did not ring!!! I should have read other reviews before downloading this, it’s definitely very unreliable. Sleep Cycle will give you all a good run for your money. So much for trying something new.
