  • Great articles…poor app

Keeping the app in hopes that it gets better. The article are great. The wide range of coverage along with its coherent stories. Not click bait like ESPN or bleacher report. Unfortunately the app needs a lot of work. Videos don’t play!!
  • No good

    By ErikP310
All soccer in the main feed, from a 3rd party news source? Strange. No option to filter to your favorite sports. The “Favorites” feed will keep articles months past their due date - I’m still seeing updates from early December here at the end of April. I love SI content...please make a decent app!!

Why does my favorite sports publication have the worst app in the history of apps? And why can't we give negative ratings?!?
  • Enough problems to cancel after 35 yrs subscribed

    By Mshreve
App does not remember username and password and does not keep you signed in so every time a new issue publishes you have to sign out sign in and hope that it recognizes your account. To extended conversations with customer support by phone just to get access to issues in early January and early February. As of April 8 edition signed into my active account and only able to download a preview of the issue. So much work just to access the information combined with every other week publication schedule change is cause enough for me to let this subscription drop when renewal time comes. Just not worth the aggravation.
  • WOW

I deleted this app after less than 10minutes. I’ve stopped going to espn for news on both thier network & app as they’ve embraced style over substance. I was excited to read that the si app had increased it’s soccer coverage (this is an area where espn was also lacking.) However the layout & experience of using of this app was so poor I had to delete it. Under favorites they only listed 2 soccer leagues. Yet my newsfeed was clogged w/stories about teams in leagues I didn’t have the option to select. And yes some of those stories were in languages I don’t happen to speak. Also no way to search for a story. And under the scores section why does the user have to click through every day to find out if any games even happened that day? Why not make indicate if a game took place or not? Well that’s what I found in under 10 minuets, I’m sure the rest of the app is great!!!!!!
  • So bad it seems like it’s on purpose

The digital edition of SI is SO BAD it’s hard to imagine that they didn’t trash it on purpose. Can’t search article at all, doesn’t retain previous downloads, doesn’t load all articles back to when subscription started (or at least back to when digital editions were available), etc. this is REALLY really a bad app
  • Great writers, terrible app

Sometimes I think they’re doing it on purpose. The app is that bad. And the website. Totally dysfunctional, user unfriendly, choked with ads. It’s not this hard.
  • Soccer overload

It just seems like it shouldn’t be this hard. You assume with a name like Sports Illustrated that an app with its name would demonstrate some decent quality. First- the My SI section is mostly outdated. There are easily several stories available to insert into this feed to easily keep it more relevant but it seems a new article appears maybe once every few weeks if that. Second- Holy mercy what is with all the soccer stories? If you want to look for specific stories you’re gonna have to filter by league\sport because the general feed is about 80% soccer. Several of them not in English. Who designs this layout and the algorithm for finding the stories? It shouldn’t be this hard.
  • Meh, it’s not bad

I like this app; it gives me well-written stories and accurate scores on all my games. I only have two problem with it. First, there is no search-function. If you want to see a specific story, instead of just searching for it, you have to keep scrolling until you eventually find it. Secondly, there is way to much soccer. It occupies like 70% of all the stories. Let’s see some variety. I know that people complained about there being no soccer but you kinda over-did it. All I ask is that hear suggestions at least be considered.
  • What’s happened to SI?

I hands down hate this app, you can’t search by writer or sport, it’s utterly ridiculous. Please do it over, I bet you...
