  • Need a course for ‘How not to get screwed up between Lynda and LinkedIn Learning’.

This app has fudged up my LinkedIn profile with repeated entries for courses done on Lynda. Further, logging in from organization’s account is a task in itself.
  • Great app, when I can actually get in

Every day, I either get a “cannot load your data” dialog, or I have to log in... again. How many times do I have to do that in a week, anyhow? Fix your network code, please.

It’s no secret that LinkedIn bought Lynda.com. I loved Lynda, and was sad to see it go. I decided to give LinkedIn Learning a shot and signed up for a free trial. All I have to say is I’m glad I didn’t fork out any money beforehand! They basically moved all of the Lynda content to LinkedIn and re-branded. Actually I did come across a video that still had the Lynda logo on the screen. Nice job LinkedIn. Most of the videos are 2-3 years old, which doesn’t fly for tech based learning. At least Lynda kept the courses up to date. I also had a couple courses that the content wouldn’t load, and all I got was an “oops” page! Lastly, the app doesn’t start in landscape mode on the iPad, which is completely ridiculous! All the navigation is in portrait mode, and landscape doesn’t kick in until you start the course. Needless to say, when my trial is up I have absolutely no intention of getting a membership. Shame on you LinkedIn!

I am obsessed! Every single video/training was high quality and smart content. 👏🏻
  • Only works in portrait on iPad

The iPad Pro is clearly designed to be used in landscape. It makes no sense for an app such as this one to not support landscape. This makes the app unusable with the Smart Keyboard.
  • Not happy

Lynda.com app is better. Cut over from Lynda poor: history, playlists, downloaded content not transferred over. Learning app appears to force portrait view. Search is two steps behind Lynda, at least. Workday integration and reporting is also subpar.

  • Does LinkedIn Learning even care

LinkedIn Learning ..c’mon .. its mid Oct (2018) and you have yet to make this app even 10% as useful as the Lynda app was more than 2 years ago. How many comments are needed before you add half decent support for the iPad .. or is the iPhone format the only format you will support. Portrait mode on an iPad is useless for any serious users of Lynda comment. At this point why don’t you just rebrand the Lynda IOS app and call it. Cmon LinkedIn .. your core service is amazing for career Mgmt .. but your Lynda acquisition and lack of any progress on your LinkedIn learning app shows poor execution.
  • Skips videos on auto play

I was trying to finish one of their courses and then I realized that it has skipped over some videos. I had to restart it again hoping it will fix the issue but nope.
  • It is confusing to use. The app icon on iOS just labeled” Learning”as they monopolize on learning
