  • Rigged

Fun game, I love playing it with my friends but if you don’t pay into it you won’t be successful. Around 800 trophies I went from a 63% win average to about 15% and lost all my coins in the process. Pretty much just writing this review just to get more coins to play. I’ve got 6 friends who have all paid money into it and they haven’t had this problem where it just seems impossible to win and not lose coins to where you need to buy more. I know the developers will say that nothing is rigged but how anyone can loose 14 matches in a row is beyond me and a little suspicious. It’s to the point where I’m just gonna delete it and download another golf game. I mean, scroll down and read all the one star reviews and ask yourself how the hell this game could have gotten the 4+ star review it has now? They replied to my review the same way they did all the others, claiming nothing is rigged, just like I said they would. And one more thing, if you have an iPhone, expect to have to delete and re download multiple times, the game has crashed on me 4 times and the only way to fix it is to delete it, and re download it then go through the whole tutorial again. I’ve had to email the developers 3 times just to get the achievements to work properly. I’ve had it with this game, most of the people I know have had it with this game. Going to be deleting it and moving on to something better. If I could give this game -5 stars. Nothing about luck or skill. You will loose 5 games for every one you win.

Love the two player format, great way to spend time waiting or getting through insufferable meetings!
  • Fun so far!

I've read the reviews of how the game is "rigged" but have not seen this for myself yet. Honestly, if you have played golf in real life, ball carry and such helps a lot with this game that I can see. Lots of fun so far, if it changes for the worse I will definitely update. **Update a month later** I'm not sure how to rigged the game is…but I do know that I consistently am running up against players who have 2-3 (or more) times as much winnings as I do. You use the in-game gold to purchase clubs upgrades (that also have to be earned). So I just broke 1 million in winnings and have been playing against people with up to 20 million in winnings. I do see how it's a cycle, win more and you play harder/better equipped players. Losses = less equipped players. The game gives lots of free upgrade stuff. There is a bottle necks of chests for winning. You can only open one at a time 4 hours +, and you can only have 4 total chests at a time. Opening chests early costs premium currency, rubies. You get those, but just a few at a time. Maybe like 20 a day for free. Still all in all a good free game, just recognize you need patience to get better. If not, you could end up spending a good bit of money, if you know you have a problem stay away. ***UPDATE #2 One problem that I have run into is that once you get promoted into the higher levels, if you lose all your money it’s about impossible to regain it. Had to restart because I literally didn’t have enough to play even the first round… and was still getting paired with people who had played about two or 3000 games and had three or four times as much money. Like I said earlier more money equals better clubs and better abilities
