While designed for great integration for Garmin users, it has improved greatly from the first release.

Unable to write reviews....updated reviews not current. User friendly “not”. Fix it or sell it to some who will. I have the app on my iPad. Impossible to get it to open even after I login.

Used to be a wonderful thing now junk nice job garmin Have a garmin chart plotter but it is affixed to the boat so with active captain and the polar navy on my laptop I was easily able to plan without standing at the helm the whole time Now you won’t me to collect data for you that’s not free Perhaps your end user agreement should mention user privacy and data collection the first thing you need to use your app is an account namely my email address data Also no interest into anything else I wrote. having to use my phone out on the water is not what I wont to do either Put it in writing that you do not collect data Please respond to the public forum instead of asking me to write to you with the copy and past response

Spent a lot of money on charts. Can only download random tiles. All chart tiles successfully downloaded disappear after closing app. Update: occasional delete and reinstall app... app is great if you have a chart plotter with it. minor annoyance
  • Unbelievably Bad

In one stroke Garmin has rendered Garmin BlueChart Mobile and ActiveCaptain useless. Thanks.
  • Great App, not ready to replace Blue Chart

Overall a good start with major issues. First, the fonts are TO SMALL! I’ve harped at Garmin about this for a long time with their plotters. And I have 20/20 uncorrected. Lots of other small issues like not enough characters in the wot field when creating the title, poor search features, no off the water info, like what town you’re in so searching for something on land where you want to boar near is difficult......and too much more to list here. But I’m a strong Garmin supporter and have the confidence they’ll fix it.

I loved Garmin Helm. Used it regularly when I was on deck, anchoring, etc. got a new iPhone and tried to reinstall it - gone! Instead, I have to load Active Captain. I sure hope you haven’t screwed up the only feature I want - ring able to remotely view and control my Garmin chart plotter... I don’t have the remotest interest in Active Captain. Last time I tried to use it the granularity was so pathetic I could find where I was on the chart, so the features/ alerts/ reviews were useless. Never went back, and don’t want it now.

Active Captain and Blue Charts were great. Nothing transfers (at least easily and reasonably). This new configuration is completely unusable.
  • What a disappointment

Requesting refund for charts. Big fan of Garmin aviation products and blue chart. This is a joke. Tried calling for support and requested a call back due to a wait time of over an hour. Never got a call. Please terminate the person who is leading this project.
