I have been a long time user of this app and have always found it useful and productive. Lately though, when I first open it, there is a noticeable lag if I want to make any changes. Almost seems like it is trying to make a connection with the cloud data. This also seems to happen when I switch away from the calendar, and then come back to it. Also, once in Calendar mode, I lose visibility of all my events for that day if I add something to my day. Once I close and reopen, everything appears. This becomes very frustrating when doing daily and weekly planning. I can give the fifth star when this is resolved. Hate to think I would have to move everything over to a different app, but lately been considering it.
  • Only giving 3 stars for the amount of work out into it

There was a ton of effort put into this app. It has an unusable design and buggy implementation. Could not even create tasks.
  • Just one suggestion, please

Hi: First off, let me say, I am a long term user. I would like to make a suggestion though. Please configure the app so that I can print a full month view rather than just a list by date. I would rather look at a one page per month view with my calendar. It also is eco friendly since I won't have to print multi pages. Also, the latest upgrade has caused problems. No matter what time you put in the picker, it defaults to 8:00 am and populates the calendar. Please do a meaning update. Thanks. Keep up the good work. Deborah
  • Very Disappointed

Years ago I was looking for an app that could replace my daytimer, and yet keep that look. It took many weeks of trying various apps before I found informant. It appeared to have everything I wanted and a look that resembled daytimer. It was the most expensive calendar app out there (about $20 IIRC), but I took a chance because nothing else appeared close. I was not disappointed. I have been using it for years and found it to be the perfect calendar app. It linked with my notes and task lists, and I saw everything in my calendar view. It also showed weather and other items in one view. An important element for me was the ability to show my tasks in calendar view and have them keep showing up every day until I marked them completed. Informant did that. Everything was good. But then the honeymoon ended. Little my little, everything was being taken away. Just recently, my task view was taken away. Now I have to pay $4.99 to get my tasks back, another $4.99 to get the weather back, or pay an annual fee of $24.99 to get the premium pack. The old bait and switch. I am extremely disappointed at how greedy Informant has become. Now it's back to the drawing board as I have to spend time finding another app that will provide everything I was looking for at a reasonable price.

I love this app overall except for two things. One, the app can be a little complicated and takes some time to wrap your head around. However, that’s only because it’s packed with helpful features. Second (and this is the big issue for me), I really don’t care for the native print view and would much prefer to be able to have a printout in the same view as the app - monthly, weekly or daily etc. Other than that I love Informant.

This is an awesome app and literally seems to ha e all of the features you need for a calendar and task app with reminders. There is quite a lot of information and I wish there was a quick reference guide he’ll streamline the learning curve. It is literally all the calendar and task apps in one. Great job!!
  • Good app - my Name I’d Location Does Not Work

12/8/18. The app has lots of very nice and elegant features. Niece to view and color code adjustable. Used it for about three weeks so far. There are a few features that are not intuitive and I discovered some by trial and error. (1). I wrote this review to inform the developers that when I use the “name of location” feature to provide a map location for god use, it never works. Upon saving a full address, and selecting the location it takes me to a world map of Africa and stays there. I tried other names, and commas separation, but it would not show me the map location. I would then expect a GO button to have the gps feature take me there. I will raise the starts to FOUR after this is fixed. (2). Please make it more intuitive as to the options within the app. I’ll raise the stars to FIVE after that time. (3). Also needed, is a visual indication on the map for “travel time”. Please add a “travel to destination”, and also a “travel from destination”. This will help allow for “leave” time and “return” time in planning. As this is, it really has lots of useful and thoughtful features that are standard and some that were not expected but yet are great to use. I am working to get to use this as my primary calendar, but it is taking time since it is full of features. Thank you for a great app.
  • No templates like I had in Android version?

I used informant for years in Android because I use templates with multiple alarms for my work schedule. I just moved to iPhone XS and I have to move to a different app now because iPhone Informant doesn't have this. Too bad.

I wish the icons would transfer from one device to the next. I like using the icons but hate that I have to complete on both my tablet and my phone individually. Thank You, Matt

Menu options (cancel and set) disappear in landscape mode and stay that way even when changed to portrait mode. (The “save these filters” button does nothing.) If I have to close the app and reopen it to get the menu screen to go away, I wonder about investing my time in a calendar that may have other problems.
