  • Better than v4 but...

I’ve been a Pocket Informant user since starting on iPhones in 2008, and I’ve always far preferred it to other apps, primarily for the ability to view actual events in month-view. V5 is nice, populates faster than v4 was doing, but omg it’s a major pain trying to set start and end times with that tiny dial. The hours, minutes, and am/pm are far too close together now. I don’t generally have fat-finger issues. This is just a poor design, and one that impacts entering every event. Please fix!

I’ve been using this for years. It’s the best way to integrate your calendar, tasks, notes and contacts in one place. And the developers are constantly making improvements. My favorite part is that there is a version for my Mac too so I’m organized on all platforms. Highly recommend.

Full featured productivity app. But it still needs a lot of work. From buggy behavior to much needed UI improvements to better customer support. A lot is needed for this to be a super reliable, high performing app.

...by repeatedly soliciting 5-star reviews, this app betrays the purpose I bought it for. I wanted an app to help me organize and schedule my life. Instead I am REQUIRED to give feedback. So here it is, guys, along with your ONE STAR REVIEW.
  • Yes the subscription does make you bad!

Yes the subscription does make you bad... Started with your other app but you forced me here, but I won't pay your fees any more.
  • Could be perfect.

Informant could be perfect if it wasn’t so bloated. Yes, Informant can do a lot, if you use their paid connect services and sync platform, which I don’t want, or need. Offering a ‘simpler mode’ would be fantastic... utilizing only the features that sync with iOS Calendar and Reminders apps. (For example: Adding viewable and sortable Priorities to Tasks/Reminders in the Simple Task mode.) For me: I want/need to use the default iOS Calendaring & Reminder database for simplicity sake and for easier integration with other third party apps that I choose to use. In many cases, using the default iOS databases is the only way to easily use other apps on all my iOS devices and Mac's.
  • From the other not-same app. /rolleyes

Pay for, yes. But subscribe? No. And if this is a “different” app and not an upgrade, why did you purposefully gimp this version? Oh, why, to frustrate and encourage moving over to your new app, which IS just an upgrade. I paid 10 dollars for this because it was everything I needed. Now it is less. Not even updated for the longer screen, and very nagging about moving over to that “New” app with the same name and functionality from the same bottom-feeding company. Finding another calendar app.
  • The Best around.

I have been using informant for as long as I can remember. I have tried other formats for a planner. I have yet to find one even comes close to compete.

I’ve been using Informant since the early Pocket Informant days. At first I wasn’t thrilled with the new paid subscription service. So I left to use some free calendar apps. I’m now back. I haven’t found any other app in the App Store that comes close to Informant 5. The best is worth the subscription.
