Reviews

  • Horribly organized, impossible to cancel

Got it for the Olympics, the user interface was horrible and made it incredibly frustrating to try to watch any of the event without huge amounts of frustration and anger. We have also tried to cancel five times, and have been charged FIVE TIMES.
  • Immature app and system with GREAT content

I previously had a somewhat positive review of YouTube TV. It was a maturing app that offered a great service. However, they've now changed the dvr service so that you have about 1 day before they FORCE you to watch the VOD version of a show (so no ad skipping), basically making the dvr useless. And some shows don't even record on dvr anymore. I'm canceling and going back to crappy cable. At least they're honest about what they offer.

Good for sports, bad for shows.

We cut the cord and started using YouTube TV exclusively 2 months ago. I actually have cable (the bundle was cheaper) and never watch it. We can get everything we want: local programming, sports (even my husband's relatively unpopular ones) and cable shows we love. The interface is simple, it saves things we like, and we can skip commericals most of the time. I recommend it without hesitation. (For people who can't figure out how to cancel their subscription, search for "cancel Apple ID subscription" and follow the instructions. Definitely not intuitive, but easy to do.)
  • Hardly “Unlimited DVR”

For a feature Google wants to tout so strongly, they seem to be doing everything in their power to weaken/destroy it. More and more content is added as VOD - on the surface this seems great. More content; everyone should be happy, right? Except they conveniently hide the fact that these are loaded with unskippable commercials and it now consistently REPLACES your recordings. Unlimited DVR? False advertising.
  • Phenomenal

Switched from cable and I'm never going back. 35$ a month gets me almost every channel I care about, and I get unlimited DVR? Sold Check this out if you're looking to break away from old school tv
  • Pointless

Anyone can get Spectrum TV for $29.99 that includes all these channels plus more. Then you can do add ons, like show time for $10. This app is pointless...Plus it’s not even offering me a trail period.
  • Latest update destroyed service - Dvr function removed and replaced w/ Forced commercials

Google replaces existing commercials with a ton more of its custom Vod commercials that are longer and no longer skippable In the age of Netflix when commercials are dead google is trying to bring them back !!!! Bring on a paid commercial free version - many would pay more to have option to skip
