I’ve had this app for over a year and a half, and when I first got it, it allowed you to plug in any number of entries to get BASIC information about that number (the name on the listing). They also had the option for using credits to get more detailed information about that listing, and I think it came with a number of free credits to get you started into using them and liking them to see what further information the app could supply, but I never used them once. Basically, the information they were giving you on a basic level was nothing more than you could find any day of the week or time of the day with a quick Internet search by plugging the number into Google. However, The app was cute and neat and tidy and made it a novelty to do the search this way. That’s all it’s really basically doing, going to the Internet and bringing back that search information to you and telling you who owns the number. However, I haven’t used the app in so many months and today I decided to use it again and I get a pop up telling me that a basic search is going to cost me 50 credits! I have a couple of hundred there and they’ve been there for the longest time, and I figured I would save them for an emergency should the need arise. I must’ve plugged in scores of numbers when I first got the app but then it became quicker to do a Google search. The app doesn’t seem to have very many updates so I don’t know how they have gotten away with this pop-up surfacing all of a sudden telling you you have to pay for basic searches, and I don’t see anywhere in the description today that tells you exactly how this works, but I’m telling you today. Those of you who remember just plugging in numbers to get basic information for free are going to be in for surprise in that the couple of hundred free credits they gave you for signing up and creating an account at first are going to go very quickly in the first few searches, leaving you with an app that is completely USELESS unless you purchase credits for which to continue doing ANY kind of search is here. So, this is not a free app, but rather a “try before you buy “kind of a thing. In my book, that’s very misleading, and I’m sure there are many more copycat apps right now I can download that will basically be just like this app, a shell that goes to search for numbers on the Internet and brings you that information back in a very basic way through a cute phone-like interface. I suggest you do the same before signing up for an account here and gathering coins that will go very quickly anyway, it’s a waste of time.
