Update: Look, I’m still loving the game, but the pop-ups I’d mentioned below have gotten WAY out of control. It’s so bad that there are times that I want to play the game but I don’t because I don’t want to go through the hassle. We know there’s a level rush and star tournament either coming or ended. We don’t need to click on boxes verifying the notice. If you have a special event that happens regularly, such as Treat Heist, just put a notice on the side or on the notice board with an exclamation point. Same thing when announcing a sale going on in the shop. The whole reason people pay money to stop seeing ads is because they are annoying and take away from the enjoyment of the game. You are negating that reason with the pop-ups. I will give you full stars and delete the negative aspect of my review if you get rid of the pop-ups. Until then, my opinion stands. Original Review: This is my new favorite game. I love the fair mixture of easy and challenging levels. I especially love the Level Rush challenge which allows me to score from 2-24 hours of infinite lives. And I’m ecstatic that I haven’t come across any timed levels. I can’t tell you how many games I’ve walked away from because they shove a timer in your face. The graphics are wonderful and you can really tell that the developers put a lot into this game to make it fun for the consumers. As far as the reviews I’ve read implying that you are being bullied to spend money in order to advance, I strongly disagree. I’m currently on level 202 and the only money I’ve spent in the game is .99 to remove the ads. Not only that, but I’ve hardly used any of the boosts I’ve earned. Personally, it bothers me that so many people complain about spending money on apps. It’s like they think anyone who puts so much time and effort into their product doesn’t deserve to be compensated for their work. The fact that they give you the option to play at all for free is incredibly generous. The world doesn’t owe you free entertainment, people. That said, I would now like to mention a few things that I don’t like. The first is the fact that every time I open the app I have to close out of three or four pop-ups. Only one is an ad, trying to sell you a starter kit. The others are advertising various events going on... the aforementioned Level Rush, contests, etc. I hate having to physically close out all of these notices before I can play. I don’t think it would irritate me half as much if they ran their course and went away on their own. The other problem I have is how difficult it is to earn three stars on a level. While I agree that the third star should be difficult to obtain, it often feels downright impossible. I’m a bit obsessive-compulsive and it bothers me to have so many one and two stars on my completed levels. All in all, a fabulous game that has me hooked. I love it! 💕
