    While I’m giving this 5 stars, I don’t utilize this app to its full potential because I don’t measure in ounces. I use cups and tablespoons, it’s too hard to convert, so I wing it. But I combine ingredients I never thought I’d use. I guess I need a different measurement system.

    First of all I love this app. Been using it for about a week now. Secondly, I’d like to point out that although I’m not sure how it is for everyone else, the snack is the same cals as each meal. This is fine but if I’m eating another 500 cals id at least like the option to choose another meal instead of having to choose a snack. Another issue I have is when a recipe calls for 6 oz banana, adding it to the shopping list automatically lists it as 2 bananas. Maybe include an option to choose approx # of item / total item weight. Overall great app, very pleased.

    I am blown away in how amazing this app is! I’m still in shock on how everything syncs and is calculated. This is my first day and I already feel like I’m more in control of my eating habits. I am a Peloton rider and I will definitely be posting this app in our groups!!!
  • Give yourself extra time for prep

    Tried my first meal today. I made the breakfast casserole which is 6 servings but I changed it to 3. While the instructions say 20 min prep, that's not the case if you change the # of servings. You have to weigh everything which adds time. I started at 9:00 and finally ate at 10:50 ( food took 25 minutes to cook and then another 20 minutes to cool). Tomorrow should be better since I'm only reheating but I think reheating will dry the meal. I also shouldn't have put cheese on each subsequent meal so it doesn't burn when reheating. Overall, the meal was good and very filling.

    It’s been said that abs are built in the kitchen; with that in mind, this app helps support your fitness goals better than any other workout app I’ve used! Incredibly easy to use and customizable meal plans laid out from store to plate. Can’t recommend this app and it’s plans enough! Thanks FitMenCook for supporting a healthy lifestyle change!

    I’m a week into using this, so keep that in mind when reading this review. But coming from the FitMenCook app/program, here is my feedback. -I love that you my meals are Calc’d based on my goals, and the ability to swap a meal that (I assume) is still hitting my macros, is pretty awesome. I really do like the cooking mode too, thats clutch when I’m cooking a bunch of different things at once. - Biggest grip is the lack of integration between FitMenCook (FMC) and MealPrepPro (MPP). When I go to swap out my snack, for instance, there’s like 4 options within MPP. I don’t know if this is based on the fact the app is trying to match Macro requirements with the available recipes that meet said goals, but at the very least the ability to search the FMC recipes and input into MPP would be clutch. Like, instead of showing me the recipe for 1lb of Cottage cheese that matches my goals, let me take some FMC snack recipes and adjust the servings as I need to (ie “two servings” of “Fajita Potato Skins” , two servings of something else, etc) from FMC app. I understand I can swap out a particular dish for a custom one (which I can input macros from FMC) but this seems unnecessary - Need more meal options. Many of us eat two lunches, two dinners, multiple snacks, etc. Give me a button in daily or weekly view to add another meal and let me name that meal (“Lunch 2”). - the “Meal Prep” tab seems to have a bug. Where it shows the weekly overview in the little blue dots for “Cook/eat” and orange for “reheat” it’s only showing like 4 meals (ie meals aren’t showing up). Please fix this , this seems like something I’d use all the time! -is there anyway to reset meals so they start on Monday? I selected Monday, but it’s telling me I have to wait until the next cycle in like 4 weeks or something. - I’m regards to other dudes review above about lack of variety...well, welcome to meal prepping, lol. Unless you want to spend 10 or 12 hours a day on Sunday and Thursday (or whatever your cook days are) making 16 different dishes, you’re going to be eating the same thing. What Kevin’s done here is create a meal prep plan that has all macros, is super healthy, and most importantly, tastes awesome. Like, I seriously look forward to eating everything. All in all, I think you guys are almost there. As said above, the biggest head scratcher for me is the lack of integration between this and FMC app, where there’s so many awesome recipes. Though I don’t know Kevin (guy who runs this) I trust him with my health (since my diet is almost 100% comprised of his recipes) and would love to know that I can rely on this app for all my food goals. The recipes you guys create are absolutely awesome, and IMO if you integrate the above, I’ll gladly pay for all the features and and be a preacher at the gym about it.

    I really wanted to love the app because I love Kevin lol he’s a hard working man, and I have a FitMenCook app and I like so I thought this would be even better, I thought once I got my calorie count it would ask me questions about my food preference, since he said in the video that we would get a customize eating plan from a nutritionist so I thought it would ask me questions about foods I liked or disliked,and then customize from my answers. I didn’t know the app would have me eating chicken for a week straight in every meal 😂😑 I just stopped eating meat three months ago so I really didn’t see any high-protein good vegetarian meals I did see a couple of snacks but that was it 🤷🏽‍♀️so I don’t think I can keep the app 😔😫😫😫😔 no vegetarian options
