You know that state where no thoughts enters your mind and you are totally in the now? I managed to hold that for a whole minute. I just want to do this more and more and more. For the first time I’m truly getting it!!!

Great app. Sam brings a clarity to meditation while leaving out all the “woo-woo.” If I could waive a magic wand I’d make this app free for all American public school students. If changing the world through conversation is Sam’s goal, what better way to improve the future of conversation and our nation by gifting this app to the future teachers, armed forces members, lawyers, doctors, nurses, prison guards, prisoners, etc., of this country. It’s not as if Sam’s main demographic (20-50 year old white males?) would be less inclined to buy the app if it so happened to be free for all the public school students. Either way I’m loving this app and using it as preparation for a 10 Day vippasanna retreat. “And without further ado I bring you...”
  • Creative app

Sam’s voice has become a soothing and trustful sound. I guess for me, it started with his words of reason that made so much sense ( Waking Up and his podcasts) He explains concepts so clearly, whether it is in a political issue, morality or ethics and now in meditation. I have learned so much about my own thought process through meditation these past years. I find this app creative and I look forward to continuing with it. So grateful. Thank you. It feels like one could sit down and have tea or coffee with the guy and chat. Thanks to all who support Sam Harris in his work. I like the graduated steps of the app. !
  • Hands down the best meditation app

    By bretlemke
Sam Harris’ daily guided meditation instruction is the best I’ve found yet. I liked calm and the other apps but I found Sams instructions easy to understand. If you’re thinking about meditating get this app. If you meditate and like guided meditations, get this app. If you enjoy dharma talks, get this app.

Great for meditators new or old. Been meditating for years and was first reluctant to pay for something that can be done for free, but after sampling the first two days of guided practices, I am thinking it might be worth it. Would like to see added content ensure the app does not have diminishing returns. Thanks Sam for all the work and effort that went into creating this helpful tool.

    Just excellent.
  • Invaluable

I have tried a few different meditation apps over the years but this is the only one I’ve been able to stick with consistently. It’s much different than what I’ve done before because it delves into the nature of consciousness and explores areas that I’ve never been exposed to before using this app. It’s been invaluable to me and it’s helped me to develop a consistent meditation practice.

Meditator since 1968. Sam’s app is strong. The meditation component especially so. Good balance of verbal instruction & suggestions vs quietness. Also a good balance of vipassana vs direct path (advaita Vedanta, dzogchen). I have tried all of the guided meditations. This is the best by far for me. My only meek criticism is that the meditations are 10min duration. Thus I listen to 6 per session, and burn through what are available in a week (43 are available). I am now on my third round of repeating sessions 12-43–and the merits are sufficient that repeats retain their usefulness. I am stoked to have this aid. Great job, Sam and colleagues—you have a winner here.
