  • Fun for any Potter fan!

    By Meeshmosh
Initially the energy consumption was my biggest pet peeve about the game. With any game initial progression slows and I found that the energy dynamic actually made it easier to pace a player to not have to constantly grind through content. The story and setting for the game is great. Looking forward to see where it all goes. Only question I have is what happens when you finish? As of now you can only play one story at a time...wonder why I can’t roll another toon to play in a different house and personality.
  • This game could be better!

This game has a decent storyline, Characters are great, it overall feels like a good Harry Potter game... till you’re energy is used up. You always get a total of 25 blue circular energy items that the whole game is pointless to play without. Once you run out of energy, you have the option to wait 3 mins to charge up 1 energy at a time or come back to the game within an hour later to do the missions or buy energy. This game aims to get your money and the energy items are a huge red flag for a disappointing game
  • This ‘game’ is awful.

This isn’t even an actual game. There is no gameplay. There’s not even any mini games. It’s seriously just reading dialogue, tapping, and waiting around for energy. And have you noticed that you need energy to rest?? That makes no sense. Dueling is basically just Rock Paper Scissors, and this game is generally just not that entertaining?? Seriously all you do is just tap on mostly meaningless stuff until you run out of energy and have to wait for more, or you buy it. That’s right, buy energy. And the storage for energy is so small that you run out of it very quickly, this game is practically screaming “give me your money”

It’s like I finally got my letter to Hogwarts! While I think there can be improvements to the energy system so I’m not tempted to spend so much money, I still feel this is a 5 Star game. I enjoy playing it every day, and it continually brings me back to the Wizarding World!
  • A fine game but not perfect

I love this game. I’m not hardcore Harry Potter fan, but I still enjoy the levels of detail here. The story is surprisingly unique and I find myself interested in the mystery of this game. The energy thing used to buy me, but I’ve gotten used to it and I’ll play other games while I wait. Before I know it, everything’s recharged. There are some annoyances in this game though. First of all, I wanted more opportunities to bond with my friends. I met Ben in year 1 and he’s STILL level 2 in year 3. I keep getting friends but never any time to raise their ranks. The friend mini game is one of my favorite things in this whole game but they go by so quickly and appear so rarely. I’m getting more friends than events and it’s beginning to bug me. I’d be more fine choosing which friends to level up when I’m offered if I knew I could do it more frequently. It’s more for having the ability to make better decisions in the future rather than getting the rewards. I genuinely love these characters and want to use them more in the story, but I keep leaning towards Rowan, who became level 4 by year 2. Second, this game is FULL OF GLITCHES. It used to be minor like characters loading in their T-poses for half a second before going back to normal, but now they’re just too noticeable to ignore. For example, Madam Hooch was sliding around during a class and the animation continued when she should have been still. Also, I’ve caught that there will be problems with the tracing mini game. Sometimes, I’ll go past the line’s limit and if I don’t lift my finger, the game treats it as if I accidentally screwed up. I did the tracing perfectly but when that happens, I instantly lose. These are just a few glitches I’ve caught but there’s others I’ve seen. I know how limiting mobile gaming can be to work with, but I feel that there’s things that need updating or fixing. It looks great and only needs a few tweaks here and there to improve it. I’m really enjoying the love that went into this game and I’d love to see it get more attention. Thanks!

I loooooove this game so much. However, whenever I do flying classes, the screen tends to blackout but still require to do the action which works. Like focus or a wand movement. Screen resumes back to normal after completing the task and tapping past a few character lines.
  • 🤔🤔🤔

While I play simply because I love Harry Potter, and the world that surrounds the books/movies. It is literally just pressing highlighted areas till you run out of energy which is about 3 min. I would enjoy playing side Harry Potter themed games to help get more energy and gems. I also would like more of an active story line and more options for interactions with other students. When searching rooms finding odd magical objects or objects in general. I feel that with how much money this app is making, more could be done to make it great not just a something for fans to just have.
  • Fun but micro transactions ruin immersion

    By Horsecrazy1994
Spell and broom mechanics are very interactive and enjoyable. However the microtransactions and ineffective energy levels are less to be desired. Storyline finds itself to be immature and lacking as well. I do wish that I could spend more than a few minutes playing as I enjoy wearing my house colors
  • Waste of time & money

    This game is so stupid.
  • Angry for Coin!

I’m a die hard HP fan, I have been since Azkaban was released as a hardback. I’m not sure the casual HP fan will enjoy this game, it’s hard to enjoy anything that asks for the contents of your wallet as frequently as one would cast Lumos. They need to fix the energy system or this game will never be “good.”
