  • Sick of same sites in results.

What used to be the best engine is now the worst. If I wanted the same handful of sites as my results I would just bookmark them.
  • Link to maps usually fails

Generally a useful app but Google has lots of bugs to fix! A search often brings up a map, and when I click on the map within the Google app, it gives "no results". Very annoying and obviously wrong, since if you open another map app, including Google maps, there is what you were looking for. Google, fix this! Similar issue with other searches like yelp. If you search for an establishment and the result you click is a yelp website, the Google app doesn't take you to the information you want. Instead you get a series of links and you have to reenter the search on the yelp app. There's obviously a better way, and things could be more seamless. These have been long running problems and I'm surprised Google isn't on top of this. Seems like it should have been relatively easy to fix.

I’ve had the Google app on my iPhones since 2009 and have never really had a problem. That’s until this past update. Now it keeps freezing up and lagging. The app opens, I type in what I’m searching for and then it freezes up. When I’m browsing pages or switching to a different pages it either freezes or lags. Please fix this. If this isn’t fixed soon I’m deleting and going back to Safari. PS. I typed this review yesterday and it was showing up when I pulled the reviews back up. Now suddenly today it’s gone. What happened there?

App frequently jams both on searches and after opening a link in search results. I have to delete and reinstall the app to clear the jam. Consequently, I’m looking at Bing and DuckDuckGo.

I've been using the google app for years it's a great and handy tool to have, however I hate it when apps become bigger and bigger after each update and now the google app comes in at a massive 211 mb, when it first came out it was only 50 mb now where am I suppose to get this extra space google it's time to start optimizing your apps for the average user.

The writers of Google have done an incredible job producing a valuable resource. I use it daily to search scientific and medical research before I have time for search the professional literature and find a new restaurant and get an address and phone number for someone. Those are just a few of the many ways Google makes my life easier. For the people who complain about Google, I say, live without for a day or a week or two and see if your complaint is valid. I do have a concern but it is not limited to Google. After Facebook's laissez faire toward user's privacy information, I have become more concerned about how social media and technology companies, in general, are collecting and selling our information. This is no different from companies that have collected personal information from warranty cards, requests for information etc . Of course, technology makes the use of information easier and more valuable. We need to be careful about how and when give our information to other people.
