  • Good app not as good

Looking up foods is harder in this app than other apps because the lists are not as extensively designed as other diet tracker apps. And the options for portion size are limited. I often use my fitness pal to really look up a food and the portion I need and then manually put it in this app. May stop using because of this.

I strongly recommend everyone to upgrade to premium who are currently using this app as you will unlock a world realization and awareness. Those who are not using this app, you are really missing something. Kudos to Lifesum for coming up with such a great app.
  • It’s awesome, and worth the premium buy

It recommends food diet plans for you specifically after taking a personality test. You can log everything you eat and it counts calories. When you enter what exercises you do, it subtracts from the calories you’ve eaten. I love love love it!

I actually love this app. I run long distance, so it’s important that I make sure I get enough calories to fuel me. The only issue (and it’s major) is that I don’t have the premium version of the app, so I can’t access what feels like 80% of the functionality of this app. I wish that you could buy certain parts of it, such as the day rating, without shelling out $50 a year. Otherwise, Lifesum is clean, functional, and helpful!
  • Helpful for tracking my keto diet

Great app! Downloaded it to help me track my keto macros. I love how it easy it is to type in the food I’m eating. The scanner is especially impressive because it recognizes most foods with barcodes. Also love that it syncs to Apple Health. Only downside is how many features are limited to premium and how often that’s advertised (kind of annoying). Since I just got the app I’m not sure I want to pay $30+ for it a year, but if I continue using it a lot then I might upgrade to get more features.
  • Not a great idea.

Well I’m underweight for my height. So it won’t allow me to even enter it because it asks if my weight is a mistake.... thanks for making it more depressing. It’s my real weight and height too. I have a malsorption issue looking for a planner and this one is terrible.

I love this app, I use it every day. But one minor thing I have noticed is when I change serving size and update, the value changes back to whatever was value in the serving box. Just a minor bug I caught

I used to love love love Lifesum, until I had I update the app today. UI changes make it less easy to get at a glance info as I’m adding meals (huge wasted space when scrolling, where the calories available, burned and eaten used to show up at). I feel I’m hounded more to go premium more often than before, and the overall usability of the app went downhill. I used to exclusively use Lifesum but now I may have to look elsewhere for an easy to use tracker that has great aesthetics and usability in a hole that Lifesum just created.

I was pretty overweight when I downloaded this app. I decided to use it and stick with it. I paid for the 1year subscription and stuck with it. I tracked most of the days, forgot to track a few. I lost 64 pounds in a little over a year. The best part about this app is it teaches you so much about nutrition. Enough that now I don’t even have to track my calories because I can maintain my weight with my own judgement. I still use it though because I have a few more pounds to lose and then I will see how it does with gaining muscle mass. I just love the interface and the ratings as smiley faces, it makes it simple to use. I just want to say thank you to the app developers because of you all my life is tremendously better.
