  • Lose it used to be better

    When I lost 15 lbs on lose it about 8 years ago, it was a newer app, and very simple to use. The added features and the constant reminders to upgrade to premium get in the way of the functionality that I like and make all of my interactions take longer. I suggest going back to the simpler way. I know that you do not want people to miss the opportunity to upgrade to premium however it makes the app more clunky to use.

    I’ve been using the free app for a month and like it enough to decide to upgrade when I received an email offering a 25% discount. If I upgrade through the app at full price I can use my Apple account but through the email I’m limited to using a credit card. I’m not a fan of linking a credit card to anything that auto renews. Guess I won’t be upgrading ☹️
  • Don’t auto renew!

    This is basically a good app. There are too many choices for foods with bad information. If you are shown 10 choices for a piece of meat, and they are all different, that does not leave you confident about your choice. My app was set to auto renew. While using the app started suggesting 25% off renewal and another time a deal on lifetime subscription. If you click on it, you’ve bought it in ADDITION to the auto renewal. Two years is almost the price of lifetime, but if you contact them and ask to refund one or the other ( the sale price or auto renewal) you get a big fat no. If you ask to upgrade to the lifetime by paying the difference ( within a day of the charges) they say NO! REALLY? Bad customer service.

    I live in a 2 story house. Exercise should include regular stairs. I frequently stand for my job, it should also include that and the stretching I do almost every day. I would also like micronutrients included - potassium magnesium and more

    I have used this app for four years now and it helped me lose 70 pounds in 7 months! Just by being aware of the calories that every piece of food had helped me change my eating habits! It’s not a diet but it’s a lifestyle change and I love it! It’s easy and it’s also very motivating. I also recommend getting a scale that syncs with the app, it’s also super motivating seeing the weight fall off.
