No need to place your device in bed - Sleep Cycles uses sound analysis sleep tracking. Sleep Cycle helps millions of people all around the world wake up rested. Continuously rated as the best smart alarm clock on the market. Featured in: CNN, Wired, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, BBC, The New York Times. #1 Top Paid app in United States #1 Top Paid app in United Kingdom #1 Top Paid app in Japan #1 Top Paid app in Germany #1 Top Paid app in France ...and more. * Our patented technology monitors your sleep movements using sound or vibration analysis. * Sleep Cycle then finds the optimal time to wake you up during a 30 minute window that ends at your set alarm time. * Recommended placement: Near the bed or on the floor. As you sleep you go through different phases, ranging from deep sleep to light sleep. The phase you are in when your alarm goes off is critical for how tired you will feel when you wake up. Since you move differently in bed during the different phases, Sleep Cycle can use the microphone or accelerometer in your iPhone to monitor your movements and determine which sleep phase you are in. • Disables Bluetooth when alarm is set.

    By Shelley2mars
Disables Bluetooth when alarm is set. Have been using for almost a year with iPhone 6s and didn’t notice. Now with new iPhone 7 and no headphone jack the program is totally useless to me now. I don’t want or need any sound monitoring. Why not a preference to turn it off.
  • Love it - add watch support

    By MarkHarper147
Really enjoy this app, would like to see napping and apple watch support for additional input into the ecosystem.
  • Add a dream journal option

    By parker098
I keep a dream journal by my bed so whenever I wake up and I’m ready I can record my dreams. These are the sections I have in the book 1. Date 2. Notes (anything can be put here. Thoughts about why this specific dream occurred or mood about the content of the dream) 3. Setting (time, date, place, day or night, temperature, list of people involved in the dream) in the dream if applicable. 4. The actually dream itself. Tends to be a lot longer than I expect. I like to include many details. Thanks!
  • Was wonderful, now doesn’t work

    By O'Aodha
The app will randomly shut off in the middle of the night, leaving you with no alarm. Support team says the only solution is to charge your phone before bed, then run the app on an unplugged phone. Sad to have to switch alarm apps, but have no other choice.
  • Phenomenal app but...

    By Thatwonderfulperson
Edit: For some reason snooze keeps automatically going on every morning, despite the fact I am not even touching the phone. ... I wish the developers would steal from the default Apple Bedtime option and allow the user to have a reminder of when he or she ought to go to bed—and have an option for predefined weekly alarms.
  • TRENDS: What’s trends “Sleep affected by location” for?

    By National Web Network
QUESTION: Trends “Sleep quality affected by location” —I think I get the premise of this data point +/- bar, but a detailed explanation (like you have for activity steps) would be helpful... ...for example, it shows were I sleep or hometown—in red—but also shows the town next to me where I rarely go in a much longer bar—in green. I can’t make sense of why there are just “two” distant locations. If the point is to compare my town with other nearby municipalities, why am I only showing two and not more?
  • Not good if you are “on-call”

    By MaggieStewart
Text and call alerts do not sound when app is in use.
  • Makes me lol

    By Goneetet
Used this for a week and even though there was times I was up at 2am walking around the house it still said I was in a deep sleep. My phone sits about 14” from my face when I sleep so placement isn’t an issue. After it doing this 3 out of the 6 days I used it I just don’t see it being useful. Delete

    love it
  • Security issue

    By Suryava
Once you run this app it never locks your phone. Next day when you wake up, you use this app directly from the screen and after that you are right in. Never does it ask you to enter the pin, password or touch ID. That's a serious security problem. Asking us to compromise on either security or functionality is not the right approach to solving problems. My impression of this app has reduced even further.
