I like the new first-name and mutual contact system, it shows me in double take who messaged me. Much easier, and much fewer unwanted messages.

Used to use this and have had success but all the changes have made this into tinder. How many times have you found the WRONG person with your 1st look which is all you get here no back and forth so you can build rapport. I’ve had beautiful people become ugly as soon as they’ve opened there mouth. Don’t waste your time unless your just looking for Tinderlite then its fine.

Why is it that if someone likes and writes you. Do you then have to swipe thru matches to see who it is and then others write and you see the note directly Whether we mutually like each other or not Why can’t we just have have access to know who the person is? Why all the extra work. Contact is contact no need for the mystery or more to do. This is online dating people it’s already annoying enough as it is.
  • Why can they text me?

The thing that I don’t like at all, is that people can write me before we like each other. 👎🏻
  • New update ruined the app

Now when you message someone they will not receive the message unless they like you. In order for them to know if you like them they need to pay a monthly fee. This is nothing more than a money grab and I have seen responses to my messages go down 60%
  • Corporate Sabotage?

Edit: After using the app more, the changes to messaging aren't just bad, they're horrendously terrible. Possibly the worst change to any service I've ever witnessed. I don't say that lightly or with hyperbole. It's so bad, it makes me think it's on purpose. I don't think it's any coincidence the change coincides with a major Match (owns of OKC and Tinder) marketing campaign. And all for what, to squeeze $9-$12 more out of me? This must be some kind of anti-competition violation.

This used to be great app to meet people nearby. But they’ve stripped down so many features like visitors and taking away usernames, really stripping away the best user experience. Really disappointed and moving on to other services.
  • New Changes lowered quality of OKC

I use to think this was the best of dating apps because of how thorough and easy to use it was. Now there's some weird updates that change how you can interact with people and message them. Because of this I get notified daily of messages or interactions I can't see. You now how to swipe through hundreds of ppl to see who messaged you instead of the message going to the message center. It seems like OKC is trying very hard to be Tinder and it being unlike Tinder is why I liked it in the first place.
