Who wants to walk to the bank and grab $20 when you owe a friend $8.42 for a burrito? Fees, time, fees and extra money is what you get when you go to the ATM. With Venmo, you transfer the $8.42 for the burrito to your buddy and that’s it. Sit with a balance until you owe someone or transfer the money to your bank for free. Genius

It’s all good here as I set my transactions to be private. I don’t get why you guys let other people see other people’s activity in the first place

I do not understand the social media aspect of this app and I find it pointless. I only use Venmo if I have to because someone I’m sending money to or receiving money from doesn’t use the Cash app which I much prefer for its simplicity and ease of use. I know I can make my transactions private (and I make sure to do so), but I couldn’t care less about what the people I know are doing financially. It’s childish and none of my business. Also, how did Venmo determine who I know? Must be something I didn’t realize I was authorizing. For lack of a better word, this app is stupid.

I still can’t get it set up correctly after several tries because at one point my wife set it up to link with our checking account and, though she deleted that, Venmo doesn’t accept the change. Besides, why should a bank account be limited to just one Venmo account? Surely I’m not the only person who shares a bank account with their spouse! Lame and frustrating!!
