It's sad to pay for written and online subscriptions and be bombarded with ads. If you want to have ads don't charge consumer. If you charge consumer make it ad free This is probably the worst app I have. I pay for the subscription (lots of money print and online), but the app freezes, takes forever to load, doesn't have all articles, and works worst than my 1.99 apps. For a large organization like the WSJ maybe they'd be better off hiring 15 year old app developers that know what they are doing. This has been going on for at least a year now.,

Highly functioning app with superb ease of use!
  • Unfortunate....

I love my morning Journal but this latest version is a HUGE disappointment and a downgrade from its last one! The former version provided a listing of article titles for each section of the paper so that one could skim through them to find articles of particular interest. This feature seems to be no longer available. Viewing of the accompanying photos for articles has become difficult in some instances. The images pulse or strobe - not staying stationary! Audible advertisements sometimes enter a loop repeating themselves requiring an exit from the entire WSJ app before it stops!'s a bit disconcerting! The variety and content of the Journal is terrific; the format of the app has slipped!

The functionality of the app is always shifting which is annoying. Latest thing - I can't leave the app while reading an article. If I come back later in the day, the app comes up with the latest news screen. It's like leaving the paper on my desk where I'm reading it and somebody comes along and folds up the paper. Love WSJ content, dislike the app.
  • The best source for things that matter

Love wsj, i find news and information here i do not find in any other news outlet. Commercial real estate section is what interests me the most and am glad to find very current and important news about it.
  • Very good

Very good and stable. Wish it had reader comments like the website though.
  • Crashes Regularly

Serious rotational perspective and picture handling issues. Crashes or loses focus daily on specific pages. I have even had it crash so hard that it rebooted my iPad mini. When it loads a page and then the picture goes blank, you know it going to crash. There days where it is virtually impossible to read. You fire up the app and it reloads the same page only to crash. Sometimes, if you quick, you can go to the previous or next page before it crashes or else you are stuck in an endless loop.
  • I hate apps that keep asking to rate them

Stop asking. If i didn't like the app, it would not be on my phone.
  • Please Add clear cache

    By imawalkingtaco
The app automatically downloads all the stories for the current edition of the paper. It's convenient but there's no way to clear the cache of all the stories. Wish they would add that.
