Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between Plane Finder AR and Plane Finder?  Plane Finder AR is our augmented reality app that shares the data available in Plane Finder- our original iPhone App. Plane Finder (and Plane Finder HD) provide a near real time virtual radar view of flight from across the world and include a great deal more detail that Plane Finder AR. All Plane Finder apps share common ADS-B data.  Why can't I see all planes? Aircraft must be carrying ADS-B equipment and we must have a feed in the area. (In the US airlines have been slow to adopt the technology but usage is continuing to rise). What if my area isn’t covered?  We are always on the lookout for more data feeds. Check back regularly to see if we have added your area. You could even help us by running a free receiver! If I have an ADS-B receiver can I share my data for use with Plane Finder AR? Yes. Please contact support@pinkfroot.com and we will assist. Can I use Plane Finder AR for navigational purposes?  Definitely not. • It stinks

Never calibrates to proper direction and doesn’t tell what type of aircraft I’m seeing, just its brand name, etc. I want to know if it’s a B777 or an A380, etc. Weak sauce and a silly use of AR.

  • Great Concept, Wrong Data

Really cool app if you are happy to take their word for it. Flight number and tail numbers don't match the departure and arrival data of the actual flight. Don't waste your money, I'd did.
  • New update not good

With the latest update, the ability to tell what type of aircraft is above you has been lost. Prior to this update I would have given this app a 5 star review and worth the five dollar cost. I also have recommended to several friends With the new update, it's not worth the price. Also I will no longer recommend this app. Feedback from Pinkfroot on this loss of the plane type feature has been non caring to say the least. Do not waste the $4.99 on this app.
  • Latest update is a DISASTER

I was an enthusiastic user (5 stars) of the original version. The latest update is worthless and you can only identify about ten percent of the flights above than you used to. Do not waste money on this until it is fixed.
  • Was good. Update bad.

Loved this app before the update. Was a 5+ star app. Consider a rollback until this new version is developed a little more. Seemed like I rarely had a plane I couldn't identify, now many that I see aren't on the screen. Also, the plane information that used to be available is very limited. Disappointed. Hope it gets better. Bring back the features that made this app my favorite before the update.

I'm not sure what happened, but this used to be a fun app. Unfortunately out of the blue it doesn't work and it just looks like I have my camera on.
