  • Customer service great!

    By Another satisfied learner
I emailed customer service and had a resolution in a couple of hours. I think they are trying hard to be honest, and just had some hiccups. My access is fully restored. It would be helpful to make the email address easier to see when there is an error, and the website feedback firm no longer works for Captcha, but it is an amazing reference taking advantage of multimedia and also so much information in one place!
  • Not a bird person, but really like this app

    By KenFromOC
First, I’m not a bird watcher person, but several years ago this was offered as a free download for iPad (it was on my iPad 2, so that long ago). Since that time I’ve had an iPad Air 1 (still have it) and about a year got an iPad Pro 12”. This app has worked fine on every iPad, and iPhone I’ve had, never asking to purchase again. Maybe because I got it free... who knows. But it seems my free version still updates and seems to have all the features. I’ve used it a few times to identify birds in our area and just have fun with it.
  • What????!!!!!!!

    By Davidresseguie
W*f Did you just take anther ten dollars from me? I assumed that after reading about the very nice people who fixed this problem for the last victim that the App Store would just say “you already paid for this” and the problem was fixed! AFTER I PAID LIKE FORTY BUCKS ALREADY? THIS IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR Please fix this for me
  • Pretty much worthless

    By SueZQ5858
I learned my birds using Peterson’s. Why can’t they put the same content in an app? I’d happily pay for it, just like I did my old bird book. In the app, Certain bird groupings require “in app purchases” but then won’t allow you to purchase it. Pointless and worthless.
  • Peterson’s rip off

    By agateman
Petersons canceled and locked my copy, saying my “trial period was over” even though I payed full price for it a few months ago. I’m not sure anything can be done about it but I wouldn’t trust them anyway
  • Frustrated

    By Drnolaa
I’m almost sure I bought this app years ago but like many others am not able to restore the purchase. It’s useless without the purchase and in fact, sort of mean spirited. The birds that are “unlocked” are actually locked once you try to dig in deeper. It almost seems fairer to just say, ‘you have to pay for the whole app’ rather then give the impression some of it is unlocked. And for that reason, I deleted the whole app. I have other apps I can use. I like the Peterson guide but am turned off with the approach to the new version.
  • I have to buy it, again! NOPE!

    By MommaCaruso
I have enjoyed this for years when I was able to purchase it on sale for a huge deal (.99). I love knowing its there and that I can reference it whenever necessary. I’m currently at the beach and wondering about some birds but couldn’t search birds since my “trial” was over!!!! I tried logging in and I got the same message. I was trying to find a way to contact support so that I could search out some birds on my LAST day at the beach but I guess Peterson’s isn’t going to make it easy. ****UPDATE....great customer service! They responded within an hour and I have my app back. Thank you! Changed my 2 stars to 5 stars
  • Used to be my favorite app

    By turtlebearnm
App is not up-to-date on species and they want me to pay $9.99 for unlimited access. I will pass.
  • I’ve paid for this app, then update happens & wants me to pay again!?!

    By Happy zzzzz
Who ever rolled out this update (which subsequently killed the access of all those who have already paid for it) should go in to work tomorrow and reapply for their job. They should also be locked out of their house and have to pay for new keys to be made so that they can gain access again. Once inside, all their possessions should be “updated” and removed from the premises with the only ability to reacquire them by repurchasing them at their original cost. I hope this paints a picture of how stupid of an update this was...
  • Wonderful app and service

    By chief george meadow
I love this app and the update! It is the best. And Sarah and mike, with Higher Learning company have been so helpful and kind in helping me deal with my lost bird list, which is now fine, and also downloading the recent update of this app...which there was no charge for! Great experience with these two reps for the company.
