This app is the only way I can conveniently read the Houston Chronicle. Out of all the apps on my iPhone X this is the most buggy app I try to use on a daily basis. The app is unresponsive to touch and scrolling and often has to completely restart loosing the place you were reading. It’s complete garbage and an embarisment for Hearst. If they want to survive the internet this is not the way to do it. NBC Channel 2 KPRC honestly has a better app.

Everytime I try to open an article it crashes. And then the link to the article (notification) is gone. I mean how hard is it to open an article? Words on the screen, and y’all can’t figure it out. It’s been years of this!

I have given this app 1 star for a long time. The solution? Uninstall and Re-install. That fixed all of its problems! It is now 5 stars for both content and usability.

Nice to travel the world and not loose touch with the news in Houston. All the news at a click of your iPad or iPhone. Houston is there at your fingertips. The one app travelers need.
  • Very hard to use

Now that i have moved away, i try to keep up with Houston by reading the Chronicle online, but this app functions very poorly. There are many problems, but my chief gripe is that there is no feedback after you a select an article to let you know it is loading. The search function is of little or no use.
