  • Slow

It’s an amazing app and I love it, but the app is always so slow for me. The more I write the slower it gets. If this was fixed, it’d be a 5 Star for sure, but the slowness and crashes bug me too much. Please fix it.
  • A little overpriced

I love Werdsmith. It’s a great app... but I really am restricted by the lack of capability it has unless you pay for the monthly subscription. And I just feel like it would be a lot better if you could make a one time payment for the app instead of such high monthly payments... $1-2 a month wouldn’t be so bad, but five is a little out there for most people I think. Or if it was a one time payment, it could be $5-10. I dunno. Either of those options would make it more worth it to me. EDIT: It’s all good... I don’t use the app anymore cuz it’s just not for me 😊

I have used this app for years and it is by far the simplest and easiest app to learn and use. I recommend the subscription. I want unlimited words Nd the features are wonderful without being difficult to figure out. Well worth the money. I use it every single day. I write drafts in it. I keep quotes in it. I write long updates here. It really does everything you could want in a writing app.
  • I have now bought this app twice and they still want more money

EDIT I am going to leave what I originally wrote just so people can see why you responded but I would like to follow it up. The restore purchases thing did work. The app is now working correctly with all of my features restored. Sorry for the knee jerk reaction. I love the app and would highly recommend it. Also thank you for the speedy reply. I really do love your app and use it for everything from list making to novel writing and everything in between. I thought Wordsmith was a fantastic app. I even bought and paid for it. Originally I paid the 2.99 to own the app and all its features. Awhile later when things changed I paid 4.99 to own the app and all its features. Today when I went to use the app I discovered I have had a limit set on how many items I can save and that if I want to use all the features of the app that I have now paid for twice that I will need to pay a monthly subscription. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a new writing app

It’s very well organized and makes writing on the go pretty easy, but this app kept deleting what I’ve written. I would write a few paragraphs, but when I scroll up it had deleted previous paragraphs. Super frustrating.
  • Why must I sync my data on YOUR server?

So in the age of Drop Box and iCloud syncing being near universally available, this app wants to store my writing data on the developer's server. Is it secure? Will it be shared? Why do you need my data? What do you care what I write, the content of my texts?? Are we already in an Orwellian age when we simply hand over our thoughts and ideas just so you can provide "syncing" service? I will gladly pay you for your hard work in developing this app--nay, I want to pay you ! --but seriously, WHY DO YOU NEED MY PERSONAL WRITING DATA stored on your server and not on iCloud or Drop Box?

I absolutely love this app! Before using this, I was just writing in notes on my iPhone. This is much more share friendly and I’ve been enjoying writing and keep track of my writings.

Has a writing limit that you have to pay to bypass.

I really enjoy this app! Being easily available on the go, I find myself using it in everyday places, whether it’s just a few sentences here and there as I’m waiting for an appointment or on my break at work - which, to be honest was partly my motivation to try to write and publish a book - or just at home in my downtime, when I can focus on it for longer periods of time. I’ll admit I went ahead and got the subscription and I honestly can’t say that I regret it. But even so, I have to agree with comments others have made about crashing after the words reach a certain length. There was a time when I wasn’t even able to get into my pages. But after contacting the company, the problematic issues were resolved. However, not wanting the same issues to arise again (it’s better to play it safe, isn’t it?) I’ve decided to create my book separated by chapter instead of writing all the way through. This also helps me keep it organized - probably the same idea as “folders” that I’d read about in some comments - chapter by chapter, and so far I’ve had no problems doing it that way. All in all, I have no issues with this app. I don’t like that the arrow was taken away with the last update which scrolled quickly down to where you left off at the bottom, and now I have to do it manually. But that’s not anything major, it was just helpful is all. I also wish the word count was better. How much I wrote for “just today”, as opposed to how much I’ve written all-time. I know that it DOES have a word count at the bottom of the page, but once I close it out and start a new chapter, it starts over. (Again, not a major problem, I just think it would be nice to see better track of the progress I make.) I highly recommend this app to anyone who loves to write, especially those who wish to take their writing to the next level! I’ve yet to finish my book (I’m my own worst critic and have actually deleted my book several times! But I am happy with the current version I am working on) but I think this app makes it easy to focus on the work without distractions.
