Could break habit of buying any magazines with Texture, just not quite there yet!
  • Old review not applicable now...

    By WickedGirl33
My old review below, which I have left up deliberately, still applies in many ways. However, as of today, 11/17/17, things have occurred with this app that make me deeply unhappy at the moment. I downloaded the latest issue of People today, only to have it arrive on my iPad 4 looking blurry and grainy. I will delete it and download it again. My problem is that when trying to locate a way to report this in the app, there is none. When I went to the Texture website and took the time to fill out their "contact us" form and clicked send, it failed with a garbled error message and a total loss of what I had typed to them. This is totally unacceptable for a service that I pay for. There should always be a way to contact an app developer and either ask for help or report a problem. Until this lack of communication issue is resolved, I have to lower my rating to 2 stars, which stands for "below average" to me. If nothing is done about the problem, I will need to lower my rating permanently to 1 star. If this issue is addressed promptly, showing excellent customer service and response, I will be happy to raise this rating back up. From 2012: This app is amazing! I love magazines, but I can never afford them, and I don't want the hard copies around cluttering up my house either. With Next Issue, I get to have my cake and eat it too. The fee is affordable, and everything is digital. Woohoo! Can't wait for more magazines!

  • Texture Tops in info apps

I delayed delving into what Texture offers thinking advertising would run the show and finding useful reads would take the back seat. To my delight I find the information quickly accessible and easily tapped into with a variety of interesting material. Well worth the $9.99 auto billed monthly subscription. I don’t read all the selections but what I find like politics, health, science, sports, religion, current news and consumer advice keep me informed and challenging searching for related material to cultivate the grey matter between my listeners. Good reads and better days.

I can’t remember life before Texture. I have all my favorite magazines at my fingertips and they look so much better because of the whiteness and brightness of the screen versus the cheap paper that publishers have resorted to to save money. My only worry is that Texture will go away because there aren’t enough subscribers. Please don’t go away’ Texture.
  • Text View

App is great but having the option to choose an article in the magazine to read in "Text View" would be great. Hate having to zoom in on every page to read the article. I know the highlights section gives that option but if it's an article I don't care of, the benefit doesn't matter.
  • Best App Ever
