Surprise! You're subscribed! Surprise! You're paying a monthly fee! Try to unsubscribe? Good luck.

I'm finding many magical things. So far, it's worth the subscription fee.
  • It's only a Rental Service

The audio content that I thought belonged to me, unfortunately did not. The moment I cancel my membership, nothing will be available to me. This is not what I was looking for. It is my fault, should have read all terms before assuming. I get one audiobook credit each month and I can "enjoy" it until I pay 8.99 each month forever or until the deal between Scribd and the Publishing house is valid.

Won't save my annotations in books on the Apple version, so why bother?

I have been using Scribd for about 4 years now (since back when they had comics) I have always loved it but the past 6 months they have gotten sloppy. Books don't download, audiobooks won't play properly and now I can't open a book (it's been a week w/o it) I am half way done with. I have contacted support several times in the past few months with problems and questions and they take FOREVER to get back to you. When they do, they seldom actually answer the question you asked but instead spout FAQ answers that are irrelevant. Now that there are so many apps and services that offer the same things I would not suggest a subscription to Scribd. Let them get there act together again before spending the money on a glitchy app with bad costumer service. UPDATE: the latest update erased everything saved offline and wants me to use my credits to purchase books I already purchased. This app keeps getting worse.

It's nice app visually but the audiobook function doesn't work. Doesn't download books and doesn't even stream/play them.
  • Where did all my books go?

The books I had started reading have disappeared. I have no idea how to find them again. I wish instead of sticking to some arbitrary time frame of putting out a new version every two weeks that you would take the time to test what your builds before releasing. Why is putting out a new version every two weeks so important?
  • Doesn't work

Using iPhone 6+ running latest iOS 10. Signing in redirects to another page requesting signing in and so forth. This happens on the mobile website as well. Facebook, Google and email login option all doesn't work.
  • Can't read books with app

I have come to Scribd recently via a trial. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to open any text books with the app. I've been able to listen to audiobooks. In contacting the had me delete and load the app again with no change in the results. Once my trial is over I will be canceling the subscription. There is no reason for me to continue a paid subscription if I can't read books.
