  • I love the app. One thing...

    By Spikes39
Add more realistic languages. Don’t spend time on fictional languages like Klingon and High Valyrian, and use the time on more languages that should be on this app. Overall, it is a wonderful app.
  • It’s okay

    By yoda slide
It’s a good app and teaches you new language, but I don’t use it a lot. It doesn’t help me because I already knew most languages.
  • Easy to use and learn!

I am so grateful - Duolingo is challenging but also fun and easy to learn. The recent upgrade seems great so far, in that it seems to better prepare me for real-life conversations. Thank you!
  • Fantastic language learning app, but some features aren't working

    By NaokaTarema
This is a wonderful app for learning languages. My husband and I compete to get more exp in our personal club each day, and it may just be rote memorization, but it works better than just using flash cards or forcing yourself to sit and practice. BUT there are some issues. The latest update says you can test out of individual skills, like you can on the android already, and you can't. I've had to borrow his phone (or now finally be able to do it online) to skip levels. Additionally, you don't get the lingot combos in the iOS version, like you do in the android version. I would love to know why there's such a difference between them, they should really be updated evenly. Please fix these issues for 5 stars :)
  • It gets a five star rating when....

    By Fujbghh
....you tell me or give me an option to delete a language since I have a few I either hit by mistake or no longer am interested in learning, High Valyrian for example, what the heck?? But yeah once I have an option or find it to delete them this only gets a four star bc aside from that I’m already learning Russian in just one day.
  • Good but....

So Duolingo is great for kids all ages it teaches you so many languages and then you can go on a trip and you or your kids can talk to the people. But what’s not always the best on Duolingo is... so I was learning and I put down a answer and is said wrong and gave me the right answer and you now what’s funny that was the same exact answer I put down also it kept doing it. But let’s get happy for the most part Duolingo is a great game.
  • Doesn’t acknowledge

    By W.MillerRN
The program doesn’t acknowledge the tasks where I have to speak, so I lose health every time it comes up in a lesson.
  • Good for casual learning 🤙🏽

    By TheWeeklyPlanetDude
Great app, I recently cam back from a missions trip and feel out of place in Mexico because a lot of the people volunteering knew Spanish. By the end of the week I was dedicated to learn Spanish the best I could for next year. I’ve only been doing it for a week but definitely feel more fluent already 🇮🇹
  • Best app on my phone

    By Bellevue Fine Art Repro
I love Duolingo. It’s very helpful despite some shortcomings. But the iPhone/iPad app is poorly done. There are features on the web version that are not on the app, making the iOS app very inferior to the web app. Not the least of those features is grammatical tips, not available on the iPad. The iOS app also dings you for wrong answers and you have to buy health, a “feature” not on the web app. The iOS app needs some love and needs to have the same features as the web app.
  • Thank Glob for DuoLingo

    By mijachin
I have been lagging in my language learning for a long time. DuoLingo is really amazing for learning Chinese. Not only it teaches you how to speak it but they launch you straight to character recognition in a very intuitive way. Best!!
