  • Don’t leave home without it

Cannot function without it at times. It’s the only thing keeping me on track. The ability to send in updates on road closures, incorrect addresses, and entrance adjustments is fantastic. They are very responsive at Google and I appreciate that.

  • Freezing / App Confusion!

    By frankoh520-202
This app is by far my favorite navigation tool, over any standalone GPS or iOS app. I can name a lot of benefits of this app; but right now my greatest concern and reason for a 3/5 instead of a 5/5 (or on most days - a lifesaving 6/5) is that it continues to freeze multiple times a day. The app works but the location freezes somewhere alone the path of your route. And then we miss alerts and notifications! It’s really messed me up at least 4 times and I had to download Waze - sad. Waze has too much going on and Google Maps is normally ON POINT! Help fix this google. Let’s make his a 6 out of 5 star app again. I hope other users provide detailed feedback fright he google maps app so we can get this fixed, ASAP. This app is too useful to start to become so unpredictable and unreliable.
  • Good, but needs improvement

It’s a good app, HOWEVER, google needs to improve: 1. The WiFi to LTE transfers are a mess. The app freezes whenever it picks up a WiFi signal. VERY DISRUPTIVE 2. App freezes occasionally when on route for no reason. 3. The North direction seems to override the up direction from time to time which is frustrating. 4. When using “Avoid Tolls” setting, the app will show a better route and then automatically switch to the new route using tolls even if it’s set to a avoid tolls.
  • Great app but reroutes without telling you

By Zombie Addict who needs a fix
I just wish there was a way to stop it from rerouting once I select the route.
  • iPad version needs a lot of work!

  • Google Maps is Pretty Good

    By Arnando's Review
Google Maps is a very simplistic navigation app. Now, that doesn’t mean it’s overly simple and not worth your time. The presentation of the map itself is very nice, not too much is crowding the screen when you’re using the app. Being from Google, you know the app is safe, reliable, and most-likely up to date, plus there are some weird quirks added in here and there. With Google Maps you can download certain cities and locations that you often visit so you can use them offline, a pretty neat and helpful tool for those who are in areas with bad connection. Using the app for walking, driving, etc. is very easy and takes very little time to get going if you know the address well. Although, the map has a hard time adjusting your route properly on long trips and it can set you back if you’re not double checking it. To conclude, Google Maps is simple, but not too simple, it looks nice, runs well, and I recommend it as a navigational tool for those that aren’t too tech savvy.
