Google maps has always been my go to navigation application. Finally all the great features and usable with CarPlay!

CarPlay needs a lot of work, can't believe it but Apple Maps is actually much better. The following needs fixed: (1) remove all the traffic except for the road you're driving on. It's just visual clutter and makes map hard to read. (2) stop cutting out music when updating directions just lower volume. (3) calm down with the constant chatter, need far fewer nav updates. (4) something is wrong with the GPS, it's far less accurate that Apple Maps when driving thru city rerouting way too often.

The microphone won’t work in CarPlay and no speed limit display. Also does not route to my house correctly.

This app stays giving me wrong directions. It was stupid of me to not just use apple maps.
  • Satellite mode is cool, but lacks speed limit for roads and no watch notifications

I like the ability to enable satellite map view. I wish the speed limits for roads were displayed like in Apple Maps. I was hoping to receive turn by turn instructions pushed to my Apple Watch as with Apple Maps. Maybe in a future update.

The CarPlay interface is flawless, and you can even set it to a satellite view which makes it look even more awesome on your screen. The map is definitely more up to date than the Apple maps

Worst navigation app ever. Totally unreliable!

Used to be a good, functional app. Now, pick any a destination and a starting point - and Google Maps will say you can’t drive there, even if it’s just a block away. Totally useless app.
