Everytime I click the microphone it has a modal pop-up saying go to Settings>privacy>Google maps and turn on the microphone. Thing is there is no Google maps in that directory. And my microphone is enabled when using the app when I click om Google maps just in settings. It's really annoying and does nothing. When I click ok I can click the microphone and talk until the next time I open the application.

Honestly at this point Google knows where I live, what I eat, when I sleep, what I like and dislike. Honestly letting them track where I am 24/7 isn't as horrific as it may sound. This app is well optimised. I wish the in app voice was louder but it's good. I appreciate the interface and it doesn't drain batter life and cellular as much as a lot of alternatives. Solid real time updates and calculates routs well. And it's free. Why not.

It's like it wants you to be stuck in traffic or turn left on busy street without lights during rush hour. Useless in big cities.

So many gross invasions of privacy, make sure to disable the parts you care about. However there are some parts you can’t disable.

The only chance I would want is that it would allow me to select tracks in NYC metro instead of providing only recommendation. And it does suggest lines that are partly shutdown even though the rest of the line is operational.
  • Great App but...

As someone who drives for a rideshare company, I am sick and tired of this app sucking my phone battery dry even when it’s plugged into the charger in my car!
  • Lost useful functionality

I really need to be able to view the turn-by-turn list of directions with a single touch when driving, and with the recent iOS update, I can’t. What happened? Now it takes two clicks in very specific spots on the screen. Recipe for an accident.
