Description

We totally get it. You’re tired of wasting time endlessly swiping, browsing, and messaging - only to never hear back. You only want to spend time on relevant, high quality matches. Every day at noon, you‘ll receive potential matches (we call them “Bagels”) preselected for you so you don’t have to swipe all day. Our algorithm takes into consideration both basic criteria like age, height, religion, ethnicity, and more nuanced factors like your social network and interests. Fellas, you will receive highly curated matches preselected for you by our algorithm. For the ladies, you will only be sent Bagels that have already expressed interest and are serious about connecting with you! Why? Because we know your time is extra-precious. :) Once there is a match, we’ll connect you via a private chat room and provide icebreaker questions to get your conversation started. We even follow up to encourage actual dates. For our LGBTQ members: Every day at noon, both men and women will receive potential matches preselected just for you. CMB PREMIUM: Become a CMB Premium subscriber and get access to exclusive features that will help you save time, eliminate ghosting, and lead to more dates! With the Premium subscription, you will get insights into all of your Bagels’ chat activity levels (i.e. How likely are they to send the first message?), see when your messages to your Bagels are read, and receive more than $50 worth of in-app items that will help you get connected even faster. Current price for the CMB Premium subscription varies based on the length of your auto-renewing subscriptions and may vary from country to country. For 1-month renewals, price is $34.99 USD per pay period, for 3-month renewals, price is $74.99 USD per pay period, for 6-month renewals, price is $119.99 USD per pay period, and for annual renewals, price is $179.99 USD per pay period. Okay so this is the next best app I have found to OKC. I only hope the matches that pop up are not the too busy to reply types. I have had two likes and been able to send messages within 2 days! That’s kinda cool. I must say that I like that. But - I don’t like any part of a free dating app that attempts to make money with limitations. The beans limit chat. I would prefer watching ads and getting beans or no beans at all - just a free app with ads. I don’t understand why every dating app is not fueled by advertising from dating venues, contraception, and other health based ads. There is no need to make users pay. Dates cost enough. Also the pool seems small, but maybe that is because the App gives you only a few pics per day. I am used to hundreds of women on an app. Luckily many have been pretty with common interest so far. I think C&B has the ladies in the data base but they are holding back with the format of the app. Improve and grow. Not bad but also not excellent. Work on it.

Ugh, like many apps people sign up and then get bored and delete the app thus you keep getting profiles of users that don’t appear to be using this app anymore. There needs to be something else to confirm that users are actually on this app with some frequency.
  • Expensive option to “like” someone

I’ve been using this service for a while now and there are certainly some pros and definitely some cons. Pros: small limited number of potential matches I’ve been able to meet a few girls from this app. Probably a great app for women who are tired of being bombarded with obnoxious men on tinder asking for sex. Cons: super expensive in comparison to other dating apps. It costs 385 beans to “like” someone. However, You can’t send them a massage until they like you back. For $25 you get 3000 beans. So for ~$3.20, I can have the small potential to message and meet someone assuming that every person you contact also likes you back, which as any user of dating apps knows is simply not true. If you don’t spend the money, you get one new free match per day. So for my $25, I can potentially talk to 7 women. There’s no way to search all for people that you might actually like to talk too and spend the money on the possibility. It’s limited to a small number of user delivered each day. For my area of the country, they are often out of potential matches. There is not a lot of detail about potential matches. It’s limited to a very basic height / job / and a couple quick one sentence statements. Sa far its a terrible option for men looking to find someone they want to date unless you want to fill out a to. Of money.

Dating apps. I've tried em all. This is the best by far. Great balance between hardcore profile building of Okc and casual swiping of Tinder/Bumble. Matches tend to feel more meaningful. Give this app a solid shot! You won't regret it.

I was hopeful downloading this app but I was extremely disappointed. It’s slow and the Suggested and Discover page gets stuck on one person and it won’t let you close it or generate more people to discover!!! Going back to Tinder
  • Really terrible free matches

Tried this app a year ago and got some decent free matches (bagels). Maybe 3 people a day, and wound up chatting with several. Fast forward to this year. I only get one bagel a day (if that) and they are either completely unmatched to my preferences (age, race) or have empty profiles or are really unattractive. So I’m not the best looking guy but based on my matches a year ago I think something is up. I would at least get one interesting person to chat with every week a year ago. Now, nothing. To the point where I’ve deleted my account. I believe that they’ve changed the system to explicitly filter out desirable matches from bagels, thereby forcing people to pay for matches. This is understandable, but the cost for this at CMB is astronomical compared to other dating sites. It’s something like $5/person. And no, the quality over quantity argument doesn’t apply here. CMB users are not magically better than users of other apps. :-) In fact, most profiles don’t even respond, even the ones that liked me first. This app used to be great for meeting people, but now I’m convinced that they’ve paywalled all the real, active accounts and offer only terrible free matches. And that paywall is expensive. This app is absolutely not free.
  • Requires Facebook

I’m a person who doesn’t like Facebook for many reasons, but recently deleted my account because of the recent security issues with Facebook. It is horrible for an application to require Facebook in order to use it. Not only is it bad for the user, it is a horrible business strategy because CMB will lose users because of the bad publicity of another company.

The app is pretty good. I'm annoyed that the app recently moved toward a discover feed of all photos; the thing that set this app apart was precisely that I didn't have to flip through a bunch of photos without knowing basic info about the person. I am attracted to personalities, and going all in with the photos approach makes this another "hot or not" app, which is a let down. I did get a good date through here so that's a plus. Lastly, rating guy's photos is so weird that I blindly click through without looking at the screen. Makes me assume most other guys are doing the same. Straight guys are not generally down with choosing the most attractive photos of other dudes. Supports response was "Don't worry, you're not liking these guys' profiles. Just helping out your fellow man :)" which I can appreciate, but it's still weird.
