  • It’s great!

It’s great so far(probably because I have a LOT of prior knowledge of the language I’m doing and I chose easy but I thought “hey it’s been awhile since I’ve done it so let’s got for easy”)I love it but I don’t want to pay for it. I wanna learn this for free. Does that make me stingy? Probably. Now hopefully this can teach me EVERYTHING I need to know. Keep it up!

  • Videos have sound. Turning audio off should turn off videos, too.

This is still a bug, oh powers that be at Memrise. Your app still functions this way, despite numerous updates and bug fixes since I last posted this review and reported this as a bug. Videos still have sound. If I have sound turned off, YOU SHOULDN'T PLAY VIDEO EITHER. This is a bug. I have audio and audio tests turned off. Nevertheless, in courses where videos are available, those videos still play. Never mind that audio is off - and for a reason - the video still plays and you still have to get the word right, even though you have to have sound to hear the word. Developers and powers that be at Memrise, here’s a tip. Those videos have sound. If I have audio turned off, you shouldn’t be serving me content that requires the use of audio. This is a fairly simple concept I would think. I have reconciled myself to the worst design you guys could have created. I have no choice but to live with that, as awful as it is. But please, use some common sense.
  • I absolutely love this app!

This app defiantly helps you learn more of a language for free! It’s fun to learn and to memorize basic terms. This app will definitely help with my communication skills
  • Great for students.

Memrise is basically how I’ve been surviving any class thats memory intensive. Like history for memorizing dates, and especially languages. I love the app and concept, I’ve been using it for years. Only reason why I won’t give it five stars is because it COULD be better, like having MORE study options, games, and tests. Also, there’s this one particularly annoying bug where I’ll update a course that I’ve created on the computer and the app itself won’t update.....ever... so that’s kind of problematic. Great app though nonetheless.
  • It is VERY helpful!!
