Pocket Prep is an award-winning tool in mobile learning and exam preparation. Pocket Prep allows you to study anywhere, anytime, right from your mobile device. We strive to make studying more efficient by redefining how you prepare for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx®). Create customized practice tests, view detailed answer rationales, and review your results with just a few taps! 2015 Academics’ Choice “Smart Media” award winner 2016 EdTech Digest “Cool Tool” award winner The Science Behind Mobile Learning: Overloading your brain with too much information at once is a common study mistake. Research has shown that smaller, more frequent study sessions are the key to knowledge retention. In other words, taking short quizzes on the go is a much more effective means of exam preparation than reading page after page in a textbook. Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about. Take your massage therapy studies with you, no matter where life takes you. • Fun!

Easy and fun way to study for the MBLEX test! Thank you!
  • Great app

This is a great study app.
  • Useful learning device

I am learning material, not just how to take the exam. A few of the questions are poorly phrased such that one can miss it even though you know the information. That’s always annoying, but it is perhaps 10% of the questions. The rest are clear, even if difficult. The sourcing (mostly from Sandy Fritz) is very relevant to the field today and—so I hear—to the exam.
  • I paid for this app years ago

I very unhappy with these updates when I have been using this app for years and now all the questions I had access too I can no longer access unless I pay $15 and I paid $10 for the app! These updates aren't fair to the people who paid money for the app years ago! I shouldn't have to pay 15 extra dollars to get full access again. Deleted!

I really like this app. It really helps me study the test. Thank you. I have taken the test once already the test is similar to this app.
  • Was not helpful for exam at all.

    By Alyeksa
I went through all of the questions (600) multiple times. When test day came and I was sitting in front of the computer, I felt so ill-prepared, none of the questions on the test were anything like the questions on the app. I did pass the test, but I felt that the free online resource I used was more helpful. A friend of mine used something called Exam Coach and she said that really helped her, but I am cheap and didn't want to fork over the $ for it. Both myself and another in my cohort found this app useless and a waste of $14.99. Use the free resources or pay for the exam coach. Avoid this app if you are looking for test confidence. I cannot believe that FSMTB promotes this app. Update: I received a slightly condescending passive aggressive/defensive message from the developer about my review. My reply to the developer: 1. Obviously I used other resources as stated in my review. They were free and a better help than the paid version of this app. 2. My goal was never rote memorization, however the questions on the app were over simplified and unhelpful, massagestudybuddy.com was much more helpful and free. Another MBLEX app that was free was also more helpful, I am unsure of its name. 3. I passed the test but thanks for your "best wishes on your next attempt" it warmed my heart knowing that you care. 4. Lastly, to sum up what I mentioned above, stick with the free version of this app and use other free resources for test prep as the paid version only offers more simplistic questions that are not super helpful in test preparation. P.s. There were no reviews of this app until I left a bad review and then all of the sudden there were glowing reviews. Kind of strange. P.p.s. I also found it ironic that the developer chastised me for only using one source (which I didn't) when the app seems to only use one source (Mosby's Massage Therapy Review by Sandy Fritz).

  • Not great but better than others

This is a pretty good app, but not worth the hefty price tag for what it is. There isn't nearly enough content. I went through all the questions in two short sittings. Needs lots more questions -- four or five times more. Also, the app is extremely slow to load, and often stalls out completely. On the plus, I like that there are explanations for each question/answer that can be accessed right in the moment.
