Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • Very helpful

I am using this to strengthen my understanding and ability to speak German. I find this app very helpful and well worth the cost.
  • Ok

What i dont like is that i cannot go from the computer to my phone. I want to review something i did on the computer and i cant pick it up on my phone. It seems like the lessons are different.
  • Babbel >>> Duolingo

    By eekbarbadurkle
Babbel is hands down a million times better!!! Love you Duolingo, you’re free and all, but I am never going to use the phrase “the man drinks milk” in any language ever. I decided to try Babbel because I got so frustrated trying to guess seemingly random new grammar patterns on Duolingo (hello German). Babbel starts by teaching you practical phrases for traveling right off the bat and also takes time to explain all the grammar rules one by one, as well as when two phrases with the same meaning are used informally/formally, ie practical social etiquette. You learn using full conversations, like how to order and pay at a restaurant. It’s so much more practical and useful than Duolingo. If you are serious about learning a language, give Babbel a try. You will not be disappointed. 👍
  • Outdated and Sexist

    By Marlojc
The material in the French beginners course starts out normal but then takes a weird shift where it is all about thin, pretty girls and the men that like them. Really, I would never use the conversation examples taught in this section of the course ever, very irrelevant. Why not use any other adjective to get the language lesson objective across? Cancelling my subscription.

  • Quick response on log in issue!

    By jbwitchdance
I love the app! I had some issues logging in via mobile and I was contacted quickly and professionally. To everyone who works hard on this application, Merci!
  • It’s great but

    By ://sad
My progress on the website did not update my progress on my iPhone app. I was 16/18 complete with my course when I went to bed and when I woke up and got on my phone I had to redo starting from 12. Wastes some time when I could be doing new lessons... Also constantly having issues with speech recognition no matter what mic, what device... sometimes it works briefly but then it just says everything is wrong or the mic/listen button glitches
  • Great app but

I think this app is really great, however because they don’t have the language I’m looking for I can’t use it. Please add Korean !
  • App is glitchy

    By Veloquate
I like the concept and approach. However the app signs me out after half my sessions so I have to keep logging back in. It also can’t remember where I left off so I have to keep going back to the menu. Speech recognition is patchy tho that may be the fault of my phone. It’s a great tool if these errors could be fixed.
  • I use this in conjunction with Memerise and the comb is near perfect!

    By Lulu2008
Babble does an amazing job teaching grammar and conversation. Whereas Memerise does an incredible job teaching vocabulary and listening skills. Using the two in conjunction check all the boxes!
