Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • Very bad product

    By dtompkins 818?
I was looking for a language program to quickly learn to speak ‘travelers’ Italian for a vacation. This is most definitely not it. It is a non linear jumbled mess!!! If wanted to learn about dangling modifiers and past participles I would have enrolled in a college course. I learned mor French in three days from an old garage sale tiny book with attached booklet than I have Italian with your app in a month. Waste of money.
  • More Languages Please

So I’ve not tried out this app yet. I was pretty excited to use it. But the languages that I need to learn are not an option. There aren’t a big selection of languages to choose from. So I chose Spanish because it’s pretty common here. But In about a year I’ll be heading over to Pakistan and I need to be learning Urdu. If you could add that as a language option then I would be thrilled.
  • Technically not quite 100%

Things were going well in German until pages stopped loading correctly, the keyboard continually typed wrong letter and the sound disappeared.
  • Font is too small

    By WaciJ
Font size makes this app unusable for this 90 year old who want to keep my French skills sharp
  • Great!!!!!!

This is one of the best language apps that I have ever used! I actually have a doctoral degree and have tried many other programs, but Babbel has been easy. Thanks
  • Amazing!

I am trying to learn German for my Omi (grandma in German 😉) and I’ve already learned basic greetings and pronunciations in three days! I have a notebook full of the phrases and words I’ve learned and it really helps! All of this is from this app! Totally worth the money and I will continue this until I can speak fluent German!
  • Tweaks Please!

    By Chloe's France
I am currently studying the French version, there are tweaks needed in the App. For example, there will be a grammar exercise I.e. comparatives without introducing the context. A great addition would be to slow down the audio verbal content on full sentences so non native speakers can grasp the pronunciation.
  • Great App with One Gripe

    By Whyzdom
I decided to pick this app up after half a year on Duolingo. I liked Duo, but it wasn’t the best when it came to grammar, sentence structure or conjugation of verbs. I wanted something a little more instructive. That is what Babbel does that Duo does not. I felt justified in buying a sub since I had already developed a daily habit through the other free app. It is certainly worth it if you are committed to using it. My only complaint is the voice recognition. I feel like the spaceman on the Lego movie using this app. In fact, as a joke, I used a pirate voice and it worked... *shrug*
  • Speaking more

    By missredmae
The overall app is great but I would like to be able to repeat all of what they are saying from the very beginning. Get the flow of the language and words that are just learned.
  • Crashing App

    By frustrated_learner
This is a fantastic learning app no doubt. I was making great strides with my Spanish until one day I could not get past a certain section. The app would simply crash. Their customer care said they are fixing the issue. But it’s been months now. I finally decided to cancel.
