Perhaps you also want them to share your religion as well. While your mother may call you picky, we call you self-aware. It's about to be happy hour, so go get 'em. #singleisin #neversettle League users now have the option of becoming a member by purchasing several subscription options. • BS you pay to get off waitlist only to be put back on it because of “delays” aka fraud

    By 2018b
The truth. You will pay for the membership and receive an email saying you’re in and off the waitlist. Immediately after paying you’ll receive another email saying the waitlist is delayed and now you’re back on it. But then they will offer you additional ways to pay to get your profile approved. This is after you’ve already paid. Give me a break. Then you’ll contact Amex Platinum or your Blackcard to report a fraud alert to receive a refund since you did not receive the service you paid for.

Why are all the men unattractive?
  • Question

If the service is only offered in a few cities, how is it beneficial to upgrade to member status (bypassing the waitlist)?
  • Scam...

    Is a gross understatement.

The service claims to be a carefully screened, professional driven, concierge dating site. It isn’t. After months of getting matches with no reflection of my preferences and not even geographically close, I emailed my supposed concierge who replied I should expand my religious and other preferences. Note, they are “college educated and Christian.” I’m sorry, but those shouldn’t be hard to meet nor should a site be telling someone to expand their religious preferences which is a highly personal and important factor in dating. They spend more time trying to advertise social events where they make money rather than doing any real match making. Don’t spend your money.

This is the opposite of Tinder. With tinder, you get access to tens if not hundreds of people with in seconds. You get everyone from every walk of life. While the League business model may not be perfect, sometimes in life you need to wait to get quality. To give some feedback The League: 1. The information you can provide about yourself is extremely limited. My profile is 1,250 characters. You can only put 140 characters describing yourself on the league. That’s very limited space for someone professional to describe him or herself. 2. Along the same line, it’s very difficult to get information about someone else. You have very little information such as if they have kids, or do they want kids. This is a must-have requirement for me to know, but not an available option on the league. 3. Being Spiritual, especially in California, is common and another must-have for me. Again, that option is not available, so I had to mark “other” for religion. Thus, 5 stars for the concept, minus 1 star for execution. I’ve been in IT my entire career and would be happy to provide further feedback.
  • May be worth it if you pay. Not great if you don’t.

I downloaded the app and got off the waitlist in a month. You get three matches a day at 5pm if you don’t pay for extra services. In the six months I’ve been on the app, I’ve had one date. That’s far less than any app I’ve been on and I’m a girl. I think coffee meets bagel is much better at matching people with shared interests and for quality connections. On average, I’d say I match with twenty people on cmb a month and go on about five dates with different people a month AND I don’t pay anything on CMB. They have a concierge service that you can chat with. I find that they never directly answer my questions and are usually just pushing promotions on me to pay for services. They had a promotion recently where they told members they could get free 3 month membership if they got a group together to watch ‘Set it Up’ on Netflix. They weren’t clear that you only qualify if you’ve already asked to join ANOTHER waitlist to be a paying member (I mean, c’mon - that’s some ridiculous elitism). I thought it was a great idea but I’m disappointed that they didn’t open up the three month free membership promotion to anyone who attended a local viewing party. I met a nice set of folks but couldn’t see their profiles before we met or anything. I don’t think it would have been any different than joining a event on the internet. And no, no dates materialized bc again, we had nothing in common other than wanting the three month membership. The profiles that you’re sent at 5pm everyday are pulled from facebook usually and don’t tell you much about the other person (unless that person joins groups on facebook that directly express all of their interests, which is rare). The alternative is that people create their own profile if its not pulled with facebook - I have a feeling most people don’t do this. I also didn’t know that I could update my profile manually until two months in so I think its probably the same for others. Basically, you don’t have a whole lot of info on the suggested profiles to tell if you’ll get along. I’d say its one step up from tinder and that’s not saying much. They do have a pretty good events section that you won’t find in other apps but you have to be a paying member (which is really expensive!) to set up meet-ups and even though you can converse with people you never would speak with ordinarily through the group chat features, they’re scattered across the country or you can’t see their full profile - what’s the point in that? So really, if you’re not paying, you can attend these events and hope to meet interesting people but that’s about it. And sometimes the events are also expensive, which I find to be dissuading. Bottom line: its OK to use as a side dating app to coffee meets bagel but it won’t make me delete coffee meets bagel.

  • Worst Dating App

This is the worst dating app ever. You only get 3 matches a day and then you have to wait until you match before you can message them. So annoying. Use other dating apps.
