    Great content, very undependable app performance. Info says last update was 3 mos ago! Why?! Reviews show that many users are having the same trouble. When the apps—Apple TV or iOS—work, all is good. But we can’t count on them working. Please, please fix once and for all.

    I had subscribed to Acorn TV on a dvd device (non-Apple)prior to owning Apple TV & I never had any problems using the app/watching programs. Fast forward one+ years & its crap shoot if the app works or not! I delete & reinstall but am constantly plagued with error messages (“An error occurred loading...”). However if I use the app from my iPad & screen mirror it onto Apple TV no problems. It’s all too frustrating! Hope you have better luck. 🤬
  • Terrible glitches

    I love so many of the shows but on my iPad there are so many issues. The worst is the Resource Not Available message. It is so annoying not to be able to continue watching a series. After I watch an episode and am ready for the next episode it flips me back several episodes sometimes even an earlier season. It sometimes will not save your place within an episode. It really is aggravating. I quit Brit Box because of their terrible buffering issue now Acorn is just as bad. I am about to give up on it completely and cancel my subscription.

    I love watching Acorn TV—but continually have problems with it. I subscribe via iTunes—but won’t recognize my subscription so much of the time—and, yes, I have double checked my subscription—this has been going on for some time—pls fix it!

    Acorn just plain doesn’t work - at least on Apple devices. Tried on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. It kept asking me to subscribe, and when I did it said I was already subscribed. But would never play a show! I guess I know why it’s called Acorn - they’ve got a bunch of squirrels as software developers!

    Acorn was working fine with the most recent Apple update Disaster! Sign In is Looping and then it added a Free Trial (which I can’t use) in addition to our membership which was charged this month. The last update has been a nightmare!

    Tried to renew again tonight. And AGAIN the app doesn't recognize my iTunes subscription. Pitiful. If this isn't resolved tomorrow, I won't ever renew my subscription. It'll be BritBox instead. **No response to customer service contact. Last time I'll try Acorn. The new version of the app is simply awful. You can't tell which episode you just watched. You can't even tell if you've watched any of them. Every time you start a new episode, it asks if you wan to resume or start from the beginning. Then, when the episode ends, it just sits there, doesn't return to the episode listing or continue or to the next episode. It just sits there with a dark screen using up battery doing nothing. Most frustrating if all, when watching on my phone, I have to turn the ringer on to get sound. Every other app on my phone that uses sounds plays with the ringer off, but no, Acorn has to be different b

    Worked great for a month. Now offers me free 30 day trial even though I am logged in to my annual subscription. When you click trial it directs me to go and manage my account where it states I am already subscribed, yet it won’t let me watch a show. This app is awful. The amazon app works but is not user friendly. I wish they would fix this.
