  • Great idea, poor execution

The app appeared to work wonderfully at first. My 3 year old learned that if you swipe left to the recommended app screen, you can bypass lockdown mode. Since I didn't want to pay for an app that didn't work, I attempted to turn off the control settings. But, if the trial is over, you have to pay for app to adjust the settings. I deleted the app instead. Big mistake because I'm locked out of the App Store and can't modify the restrictions. Thank goodness I kept a backup version of my iPad from before I installed this app.
  • Great app, but.....

Would really like to see you guys upgrade it to where i could control my child's laptop. I tried and realized it doesn't have that feature. My teenage daughter is sort of an insomniac and likes to stay up late, forgets about what time it is and has to be reminded to shut it down and go to bed. I start working very early, therefore i have to be in bed around the same time as she is, so i can't wake up some 30 minutes- hour later and make sure she's sleeping and not on her laptop. Otherwise, your app is great! I really like it and enjoy new features you guys add continuously to make it even better!!! Thank you!

You need a solution .... and this one is the best we've found. Actually it's sometimes a bit of work and not perfect but mostly works well: and it has transformed our life. Mornings, we lock down the kids devices. No late night games without us knowing. An the daily time limits make everything fair and proportionate.

do not buy. buggy. never works. support is useless - they have two answers beyon "sorry, we try hard" either a) uninstall/reinstall or b) wait for the next version - it will make it all better.

I love this idea, it's exactly what I've been looking for! My kids have always got their heads in their screens. Can't wait to try it out!

Once you’ve got everything set up you can just leave it to run and it works well. I’ve got quite a lot of schedules set up now and if you need them to put their phones away you can block them instantly. The new updates have been really good: they send you info about what apps your kids have installed and now there's a customisable web filter. I don’t have an apple watch, but it’s good that they support it now.

This stops so many potential conflicts. It’s easy to use and makes sure our household rhythm doesn’t get disrupted by iPads. I really like their emails about new apps my kids have installed too. Edit - we had some problems with the last update, but they seem to be fixed now
  • Really good app

Good app. Using Kidslox is easy and it effectively locks our kid’s phones. That’s all I was looking for really. It’s got a lot of other features too though. I’ve seen a few bad reviews, but they’re completely unlike the experience I’ve had. No hesitation giving 5 stars.
  • Highly recommend for parents.

We’ve been using Kidslox for a while now and we love it. It’s very flexible and makes it easy to set up fixed schedules or make new plans on the go. We really like the new email updates about recently installed apps too!

I'm still really enjoying using this app. It makes it very simple to keep a lot of different devices under control at the same time.
