  • Great app for early elementary!

I love the Foos app because it is designed to work really well with early elementary students. It has a great story line and lovable characters. It’s challenging enough so that students do not get bored. It is very engaging and allows students to move through the levels at their own pace. It also allows them to challenge themselves and build their own levels. I love using this app in my first grade classroom.

  • This is no Box Island!

Unintuitive coding set up with fairly uninteresting challenges that are set up as a video game. It is much much too easy for kids to get pulled into, and stuck managing animals in a game that seems to be the reward for achievement in coding. My daughter didn’t want to do anything other than play with the animals and ignored the other challenges. There are regular monthly automatic renewals that I had no idea were part of the app. Clearly I did not read the fine print. These renewals continued even after I took the app off my phone because it was pointless and really just a mind numbing game not a well structured set of coding challenges. The experience felt like a “gotcha”. I would steer people away from this app.

  • Codespark is the best!

    By Hthnc
I began using the Codespark app as part of an elective for my elementary school students. I was quickly impressed by the ease at which they were able to develop the skills introduced by the app. My students have absolutely fallen in love with Codespark and are ecstatic with each update. I’ve found myself more and more impressed by the app, and the ways that they’ve enhanced my student engagement. Each time I open the app, I find new ways to introduce a variety of topics! Big thumbs up!!!
