Description

Meditation has ancient roots – so does Sattva. Authentic, deeply profound and drawing from Vedic principles of meditation that millions of people have benefitted from for thousands of years, the meditations, chants and mantras on Sattva are delivered by Sanskrit scholars who have mastered the subtle inner workings of the mind. Once such person is renowned humanitarian and spiritual teacher Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a thought leader in yoga and meditation, who is fully established in the self. He is an expert in leading people into meditation in an effortless manner and has done so for millions of people worldwide. For people new to meditation you will find simple yet deep meditations starting from 6mins upwards and you can set yourself goals to slowly build your practice up. For seasoned meditators there are hundreds of guided meditations, chants, mantras and music tracks to accompany your meditation practice or you can set yourself challenges, gain trophies when milestones are met and keep a track of your meditation journey via the in-depth stats tab. We’ve also added video integration so you can host live wellness sessions via the app or even just meditate with friends. • Wonderful, but two key issues

First and foremost, the feedback mechanism is not actually enabled; you can’t send the email once you have clicked on that link within the app. Second, they offer chants on the free version but then lock them away into the paid version with no warning (e.g., Hanuman Chalisa). This app is in the service of the holiest and purest Knowledge and Practice, which shouldn’t be commercialized anyway. The rationale is that charging for the app, which is not cheaply priced, supports AoL service projects throughout the world; but alms should be given with a pure motivation to serve others through Knowledge. It is one thing to restrict some content to paying users; but to restrict increasing amounts of content to paying users is to twist people’s arms into giving money “to a good cause” when really people will be paying to hold onto aspects of the app that supported them, as they are trying to get themselves into a good space spiritually — from which they will then be able to give funds in the spirit of loving generosity, not compulsory craving. Otherwise, the app is a blessing; I just hope the creators don’t keep taking away content and making it impossible to give them this feedback directly.

I just purchased the year plan and really want to like it. The audio isn’t great, and it is really hard to make out what the instructors are saying. I didn’t like that I wasn’t able to seek out or get to do a meditation before purchasing it.

The meditation timer does not work. I set up the timer and it never went off. I am using it off the other phone now with the older version which works completely well. Also the interface is more confusing

It’s my favorite app. It has all good meditations. I do my practice every single day with this app. It’s great way to keep track of minutes of practice. Very motivated to meditate again and again. Thanks for who created this.

I really like the practical design of this app that makes it useful for both beginners and advanced practitioners, it helps me set my goals and motivates me to keep up with my daily meditation practice. The best part are the powerful chants specific to each day and the tons of free meditations that come along with it.

Sattva app is the best meditation app that I have ever known. Every day a new quote a new mantra and so many different meditations makes meditation fun. It keeps record of your minutes of meditation and you are also connected with your friends who are meditating. A must app for everyone as a 20 minutes meditation helps us refresh and takes us deep and connects you to yourself 🧘🏻‍♀️😇
