After trying to install premium on iPhone for 3 days, I gave up. Support was not helpful. Will look for other options.
  • Text Messages not being blocked

I love this app, because it does everything it says it should do except for text messages. Why isn’t this app blocking text messages. This frustrates me! I upgraded up to premium and my daughter is still able to text when I don’t want her to! Please help!

This app came recommended to me but it never worked for us. It was a hassle to set up and constantly locked my child’s phone settings, preventing her from doing legitimate things with them like changing her background, connecting to Bluetooth, or changing WiFi settings. This persisted despite repeated attempts to fix it. None of the features ever worked effectively and the support was no help. We are pretty technically savvy people and I’ve never had this kind of problem with another app.
  • OurPact Jr Issues

Upgraded to Premium on the OurPact app. The instructions say I have to download the OurPact Jr software, which I tried unsuccessfully to do several times. This allows control of amount of screen time to my child’s phone. I’m paying a monthly fee for something I can’t use.

This app works *most of the time* for two of my kids phones but the other two it doesn’t. Two of my kids have Motorola phones and the other two have iPhones. I can’t set blocks, limits, or restrictions on my kids with iPhones because the Our Pact Jr isn’t available in the App Store; so if I block their phones it scrambles their apps all over the place and they have to fix them every single time. And I can’t set limits or restrictions at all without the actual app on their device. It’s more of a hassle than it’s worth considering I’ve been paying for the full version but not actually getting the full version. The two kids with Motorola phones don’t have issues with any of that but I do have issues with it not activating when it’s supposed to. I have their bedtime schedule set but if they’re in an app when it turns on, it doesn’t always kick them off and lock. I’m not always available to run in and take their device when it’s time, which is why I’m paying for this app to shut it down for me. 😒

I used this app on my sons phone, worked great till I upgraded. When I got it updated found out that OurPact Jr had been pulled. I had AT&T family map on my phone so I knew where my son was, well they recently updated their app to secure family. I couldn’t have both apps on my phone which means your OurPact Jr got pulled because it is similar to the AT&T secure family map. I had remove the profile of theirs to install OurPact, it’s the same if I want to install their app I have to remove the profile. Looks like OurPact will be loosing a lot of iOS customers if they don’t fix this flaw.
  • Pretty Good with some issues

So overall the app does a good job of allowing me to control how much time my kid gets for apps. However I have noticed that there are random times where all of a sudden she will get access. Also I’ve had trouble trying to use our pact utility. I also wish ourpactjr was still a thing so she can look at the schedule herself.
  • Huge Flaw

I really do like this app a lot except that it has one HUGE flaw. My child is in HS where phones are used in the classroom. I have this app on my child’s phone to keep the social media apps blocked during class. However, the fatal flaw is that he can unpair the app at will which he receives a consequence for, but I would much rather eliminate this point of contention between us. He is a pretty obedient loving kid except when it comes to school work so I was really excited about this app. Unfortunately, it hasn’t quite lived up to my expectations. They really need to allow parents to add a password for unpairing the phone. If they can do that, I would give 5 stars. Great for younger kids, but maybe not so much for older kids.

This gets a half star from me because apps like this ruin your face to face relationship with your child. My kids got very angry when I turned their apps off at night so it didn’t give them a reason and they got mad. So every time I turned off heir apps they didn’t know the reason because I wasn’t taking it away face to face. That would be a better parental decision to make for the future of your kids. This form of discipline will make your house a toxic environment!
