Description

BallisticsARC by GeoBallistics, LLC BallisticsARC (Ballistics, Atmospherics, and Range Card) combines the functionality of a ballistics calculator, an atmospheric device, and a GPS rangefinder into one application. BallisticsARC is powered by an advanced 3 DOF PM solver and is compatible with external hardware to offer in-app sampling of on-site atmospherics. BallisticsARC includes 3 modes: Chart Mode, Map Mode, and Comp Mode. All modes are accessible with 1 custom rifle. In order to add additional rifles and save/export range cards, you must upgrade to the Pro version for a one-time fee. Chart Mode is a traditional calculator that allows for a complete solution. Solutions include considerations for gyroscopic drift, Coriolis effect, wind influence, shot angle, atmospheric conditions, and more. Chart Mode also allows FREE integration of the WeatherFlow products! Note: Only 1 custom rifle can be built in the free version. Map Mode allows users to range targets by dropping pins on satellite imagery of a shooting location. Range and solution are displayed by tapping on the target pins. Map Mode also introduces external ballistic data overlays on satellite imagery. These overlays display a bullet's performance along it's path according to parameters specified for each rifle profile. It is our hope that this will assist the hunter with creating safe and ethical shots in the field as well as assisting competitive shooters with markers such as trans-sonic break over point. Comp Mode allows the user to enter a course of fire with multiple targets with unique variables such as shot angle and shot azimuth. This is inspired by top PRS shooters and will continue to evolve beyond this first offering. Key App Features: - Advanced Ballistics Solver - Comprehensive Bullet Library - Online weather access with station pressure - External atmospheric hardware compatibility - Shot angle calculator - Shot bearing calculator - Unlimited Rifle Profiles (Pro version) - Ability to save charts to camera roll (Pro version) - Ability to export charts as .csv (Pro version) - Ability to save/load satellite range cards for later use (Pro version) - Muzzle Velocity Truing - Coriolis effect auto-calculated with position and latitude - Spin drift auto-calculated with twist rate and bullet length

  • Great Ballistic App.....but

Ballistic ARC has become my favorite shooting app. I have just about all of them and Ballistic ARC is definitely the most user-friendly in my opinion. The solutions seem to be pretty spot on out to 1000yds which is the longest range I have access to.....here comes the "but" It's only miner, but two things would make this a perfect 5 star rating. Need a way to better organize saved rifle, scope, ammo profiles like be able to create subfolders within the saved rifle section, only other suggestion would be an option to disable the auto lock screen on the phone right from the app without having to go back through the phone's settings and choosing the option of "never" what happens is I forget to go back and change it when I'm finished shooting then the next thing you know your phone is dead because the auto lock feature was set to "never"

Great app, first rounds on target. However, I wish the app would save where your last range session was and open to there. It defaults to TX with a target and shooter at the TX range. Edit: Changed to 5 stars. After the initial 4 star review they emailed me on how to open to your local shooting spots. Set up the shooter and target, tap "menu", "save range card", name it then "save". Next time you open app it opens to your range. Save multiple range cards and easily snap to them via "menu" "load range card"

App opens instantly to last saved range card. You must save the card for it to open back to it though. Data is dead nuts.

This is a great app. Yeah you have to pay for it to unlock it but it's really worth it. Coupled with their $85 Bluetooth weather station it is the absolute best option other than a $600 kestrel. I teach long range precision classes for a living and found this to be very useful. I currently use this and a couple other apps that each have their own strong points. Like anything it's not perfect yet. However I had a couple ideas for them for feedback and the developers were excited and receptive. This app is going places and I'm glad to get in on the ground floor. -Steve Aryan , GreyFox Industries
  • Absolute waste of money

The app constantly crashes, for some reason I can't map anything but Texas even though it knows I'm in PA when I hit current location. Do not waste your time or money. Just get the shooter App, a little older but it works and it's cheaper. This app is GARBAGE!

App works flawlessly, but where it excels is customer support. Ran into an issue on my end, called their number, few screenshots and conversation later I was back to being dialed in. Very responsive and helpful team of guys and can't speak highly enough of a company that takes pride in the product and service they provide. Highly recommend, makes shooting at long range enjoyable.
